Budget snack bakery in Beomeo-dong, Daegu: 45 peanut breads ₩11,500

While looking for good eats in Beomeo-dong, I found out that the peanut bread shop people line up for at Seomun Market now has a branch here too. Here's my review of this budget-friendly snack spot, Daesin Peanut Bread!

Daesin Peanut Bread Beomeo Direct Store is at 7 Dalgubeol-daero 504-gil, Suseong-gu, Daegu, South Korea, 1st floor. Hours are Monday–Saturday 10:00–22:00, closed the 1st and 3rd Sundays of every month.

The shop's bright yellow, so you can spot it from far away~ Daesin Peanut Bread is the same brand people queue for at Seomun Market, and it turns out they have around 20 branches — a huge chain.

Menu and prices: can you order peanut bread without peanuts?

Here's the Daesin Peanut Bread menu board, and overall nothing was expensive! If you order 80 pieces, they'll do gift wrapping for ₩10,000. And here's something unusual — apparently they can bake the peanut bread without actual peanuts inside? If you just want the peanut flavor, ordering it peanut-free could be a fun option.

How to reheat Daesin peanut bread and egg bread at home

CPR tip for the egg bread!! If it's gone cold, microwave it for about 20 seconds and it'll taste freshly made again! If you've frozen it, thaw it first and then microwave or air-fry it. It's also delicious with ketchup drizzled on top~

The egg bread looked piping hot~ They keep it warm and pack it fresh as soon as you order.

Each peanut bread only costs ₩100–150. There are a lot of apartment complexes nearby, so it seems like a great, affordable snack for kids~ Apparently you can also freeze the peanut bread and eat it as an iced peanut bread! They said it's best microwaved for about 40 seconds, or air-fried at 180°C after preheating for about 1 minute.

Tasting the black peanuts and what the Beomeo-dong shop looks like

Interestingly, they set out peanuts for tasting up front. There were black peanuts and regular peanuts on display — apparently black peanuts are a 'medicinal peanut,' good for the eyes and blood vessels. They're grown in Qingdao. You can also just buy the peanuts on their own, which seems great as a gift or for health management.

They also have 4 small tables inside the building. Plenty of space for anyone who wants to sit down and enjoy their snack before heading out!

This is the kitchen, which only has the machines for making the peanut bread and egg bread, plus the tools for peanut lattes. Simple and clean — I really liked how tidy the interior was.

I ordered 45 peanut breads and 3 egg breads. Even with all that, it only came to ₩11,500. If you're looking for good dessert spots in Beomeo-dong, this price makes for a really great value snack.

The peanut bread is a nice bite-sized size. The outer, cookie-like layer was crispy, and you could really taste the nutty aroma of the bread.

Look at the back — there are a whopping five peanuts packed in! With that many peanuts, it's even nuttier and more flavorful than your typical peanut bread😀😀

The egg bread had been kept warm so it was pleasantly hot — the kind of warm where you can grab it right away but still feel the heat. It had a slightly salty-sweet flavor that worked really well together. I haven't eaten a ton of egg bread in my life, but this was genuinely delicious — highly recommend!

With a whole egg inside, it made for a filling snack that really fills you up. The outside was golden and nutty, while the inside was soft, so the texture was amazing too. A peanut bread shop with delicious egg bread too — who knew! haha😀
