Today I'm bringing you a special dessert review from an anniversary I celebrated with my boyfriend 💗 On an anniversary, you need good food, and of course a pretty cake haha. I really love peaches, so once again I went to Siznique, famous for its peach cake!

It's located inside Daegu Shinsegae Department Store, so it's great to stop by while shopping, and perfect for enjoying a sweet dessert during a date.

Why we picked the Siznique peach cake for our anniversary

While thinking about what cake to have with my boyfriend for our anniversary, I remembered Siznique, where we'd enjoyed a delicious strawberry cake before! Then I found a cake loaded with peaches, which I love, and my heart was immediately set on it haha.

Rather than going for something extravagant just because it was our anniversary, I wanted a cake the two of us could enjoy comfortably without feeling like it was too much. Siznique's peach cake looked like just the right size, so I chose it!

When looking for good cake shops in Daegu, whole cakes can sometimes feel too big or pricey, so I was glad to find a cake sized just right for two people.

Visiting Siznique at 6pm: how much was left in the showcase?

We visited around 6pm. But by that time, a lot of the cakes had already sold out! There were only a few cakes left in the showcase, so I was a little on edge 😂

I was so relieved the peach cake I wanted was still there 🥹🩷 Since I love peaches so much, there was really no need to think twice. The size also looked just right for two to share, so I happily bought it.

If you're planning a visit to Siznique, it might be a good idea to go a bit earlier before the cake you want sells out!

🎂 Check before you pay at Siznique: forks are only given on request

Here's a small tip! If you need forks when buying a cake, you have to ask the staff separately. Forks aren't provided by default haha.

We did get a cake knife and a candle together with our order. If you're planning to eat cake on an anniversary, keep in mind they'll give you a candle too! We only realized we didn't have forks later and had to go back to get them 🤣

🍑 Honest review of the Siznique peach cake

Finally, time to try the peach cake we'd been waiting for!

Since I love peaches, I often seek out peach desserts, and the combination of sweet peaches and syrup in Siznique's peach cake was really great.

The distinct sweet flavor of peaches came through clearly, and with the added syrup, the overall taste was moist and sweet in a really appealing way. The cake itself blended in well too, so every bite made me happier 💕

It wasn't overly sweet, and the peach flavor didn't feel separate from the rest — the peach and cake came together naturally, which I liked. I lost count of how many times my boyfriend and I said it was delicious while sharing it haha. In the end we finished it in no time!

The size of the cake wasn't too much for two people to enjoy as a dessert, and sharing it together on our anniversary made it taste even better. A sweet cake on a special day really does add to the happiness 💗
