Where Banwoldang Buja Sikdang Suseong Branch is, parking and hours

I heard that Buja Sikdang, famous in Banwoldang, opened a branch in Beomeo-dong in Suseong-gu, Daegu, so I went to check it out. My husband and I had visited the original Banwoldang location before, so as soon as I heard about a Beomeo-dong branch I went right away.

There's a public parking lot along the road in front of the restaurant, so no need to worry about parking!! Just pay after your meal and show the receipt for 1 hour of free parking ღ'ᴗ'ღ Not having to stress about parking is already a huge plus for this Suseong-gu spot!

Business hours are 11:00~20:45, break time 15:30~17:00, last order at 14:45 and 20:00, so keep that in mind.

Inside the restaurant and the self-serve ssam vegetable bar

I visited on a weekday lunchtime and there were quite a few customers. Except for the middle section, almost everyone was either eating or waiting for their food.

You grab the ssam vegetables yourself. There was lettuce, ssamjang (seasoned dipping paste), chili peppers, and garlic! I grabbed lettuce and ssamjang and wrapped my food in it ღ'ᴗ'ღ

The basic side dishes and the doenjang (fermented soybean paste) hot pot came out first. You let it simmer and then scoop it out to eat! And this Beomeo-dong spot uses sealed, hygienic chopstick cases — this Suseong-gu restaurant is serious about cleanliness!!

The doenjang hot pot was simmering away with so many ingredients that my husband kept fishing bits out of it nonstop haha. Amazing~!!

The fire-grilled squid pork stir-fry~~~!! The rich flavors of the two dishes, fire-grilled pork and fire-grilled squid, together were so delicious. They told us to put the enoki mushrooms at the bottom so they'd cook through.

And the portion sizzling away was so generous~~~~!!

Wrapping it in a lettuce leaf is basically love... ღ'ᴗ'ღ It's already tasty just with rice, but it's even better wrapped in lettuce. Eating it with vegetables makes it a diet meal, right???😆😆

Is the weekday lunch worth it?

Certified good restaurant...!! We finished everything, not a scrap left~~~!! Even the basic side dishes were so tasty!! I get why so many people visit this Beomeo-dong Korean restaurant. If you want a filling, great-value meal, definitely check it out ღ'ᴗ'ღ No matter how much I ate, this Suseong-gu spot was just so delicious.
