Family-friendly café in Gumi with nursing room and floor seating: Otters

We visited Otters Jisan Saetgang Main Branch, a Gumi bakery café full of adorable otter characters, sweet handmade cream doughnuts, and all kinds of baked goods, with the kids! 🍩☕✨ Right by Jisan Saetgang Park and beneath the Seonsan-daero overpass, it is one of Gumi’s signature large cafés and just perfect for an outing!

Spacious parking and entrance photo zones

The first thing that made us gasp when we arrived by car was the wonderfully spacious dedicated parking lot! 🚗 It fits more than 90 cars, so there is zero parking stress even during weekend peak hours!

By the outdoor entrance, there is a photo zone with a cute otter character and an orange checkered backdrop—an essential proof shot before heading in! 📸

The retro-style “GOOD VIBE & GOOD DESSERT” installation stretching across the wall is another cool photo spot. ✨

Inside, the airy high ceiling and bright orange-and-wood interior welcome you as if you have stepped into a theme park. 🧡 In the center of the first-floor wall is Otters’ main arch photo zone! 🌲 With its green trees and warm lighting, it is so good for getting those once-in-a-lifetime kid photos!

Click! 📷 There is another first-floor mirror photo zone with a wavy mirror and cute signs. There are also plenty of clean, safe high chairs, making this spot ideal with children. 👶 What especially impressed me was the dedicated nursing room! With a soft changing table, sink, and chair, all kept nice and clean, there is no need to worry even with a young baby. 🍼 There is also a yellow Kodak photo printer for making fun memories with the kids, like four-cut photos. 🎞️

Freshly baked breads and cream doughnuts

The bakery counter was lined with appetizing breads baked that day! 🍞 From salt bread to croissants and ciabatta, there was such a wide variety!

It was doughnut heaven, with chestnut cream, Lotus, milk cream, chocolate yogurt, pistachio, black vanilla, and more—each packed to bursting with cream!

The helpful menu guide also listed popular choices, including the new chestnut cream and Lotus doughnuts, plus the best-selling milk cream and crème brûlée doughnuts. 📜

The drink menu has coffee, smoothies, ades, and tea—something everyone can enjoy. 📋

Seasonal drinks and lattes are also clearly displayed above the counter, making ordering easy. ☕

A signboard for signature summer drinks such as Jaws Bar Ade and Cloud Soda Smoothie looks refreshing just to see! 🍧

On one side, there is a Balmuda toaster and microwave for warming up your bread,

plus a tidy self-service packing station for taking home leftover bread hygienically. 🥐

Comfortable second-floor floor seating with kids

Let’s head upstairs to the second floor, where you can enjoy the view through the full-height windows. 🪜 The bright, sunlit hall has generously spaced tables, making it lovely to linger. 🌿 The stylish seating, with wood slat walls and striking blue chairs, really stands out! In front of the vivid blue wall are plenty of large tables for gatherings and groups. 🪑 Best of all is the circular second-floor floor-seating area, a huge hit with families visiting with children! You can take off your shoes, sit comfortably together, and enjoy dessert—it is so convenient. 🍊

Drinks and bakery treats chosen with the kids

After looking around every corner of the café, we heard that all our order was ready, so we picked it up from the counter! ☕🍩

Since I came with the kids, we ordered a colorful spread to suit everyone’s tastes! There was a cool, clean decaf Americano; Cloud Soda Smoothie that had the kids cheering; tangy Jaws Bar Ade; and for dessert, a buttery gourmet salt bread, a filling sweet-and-salty ham cheese garlic croissant, and an Oreo cream doughnut for the ultimate sugar fix. What a feast! 🥐🍪🥤

Decaf Americano and Cloud Soda Smoothie

The decaf Americano had a clean, nutty flavor that paired perfectly with sweet desserts. ☕ Smooth and nutty with no acidity, it was so nice with the bread!

The Cloud Soda Smoothie looked like white fluffy clouds floating in a blue sky—such a visual stunner! ☁️ Its smooth, sweet soda flavor won my son over instantly!

Jaws Bar Ade came topped with a cute shark jelly over red syrup and blue fizz! 🦈 The fizzy sparkle and sweet-tangy flavor made it fun both to look at and drink. ✨

Gourmet salt bread and ham cheese garlic croissant

First, I photographed the gourmet salt bread and ham cheese garlic croissant, both looking absolutely delicious. 🥐

The gourmet salt bread had a crisp crust dotted with coarse pearl salt! 🧂 The moment I cut into it with a knife, that wonderfully crunchy sound lingered in my ears. Split in half, it was moist and chewy inside, with a buttery hollow full of deep flavor; the kids and I finished it in no time. 👍 The ham cheese garlic croissant gleamed with sweet garlic sauce! 🧀🥓 Its cross-section revealed generous layers of thick ham and cheese, making it great for brunch or a satisfying light meal too!

The combination of sweet-salty garlic sauce and flaky, crisp pastry was seriously addictive. 😋

Oreo cream doughnut

Otters’ popular handmade Oreo cream doughnut came topped with a whole crunchy Oreo cookie. 🍪 Even the hefty Oreo cream filling along the side of the doughnut caught the kids’ eyes! When we gently split it in half, sweet, soft Oreo cookie cream burst out without a gap—such a happy, proper sugar recharge. 🖤

This is a wonderful Gumi café to visit with kids, with a large free lot for more than 90 cars, a nursing room with a changing table, high chairs, and second-floor floor seating all perfectly in place!
