Gimhae Bongridan-gil pasta: shrimp bisque at Anin Jeongmiso
In short
Anin Jeongmiso & Gaenari Jutaek (안인정미소&개나리주택) is a pasta restaurant on Bongridan-gil in Bonghwang-dong, Gimhae, set inside a converted 100-year-old rice mill. On a weekday lunch visit, the meal was snow crab guts cream pasta and ridgeback shrimp (ttaksaeu) bisque pasta with white wine and zero-sugar cola, followed by a look around the outdoor courtyard terrace and the old milling machines kept indoors. Anin Jeongmiso & Gaenari Jutaek is worth the trip in Gimhae when you want Italian food in a genuinely retro space.

I visited Anin Jeongmiso & Gaenari Jutaek, located on Bongridan-gil, one of Gimhae's trendiest streets right now.
Known as one of the top pasta spots on Bongridan-gil, this unique space is a renovated 100-year-old rice mill building.
From the entrance, the place is full of distinctive retro charm, making it a popular date-course pasta restaurant in Bonghwang-dong.

A 100-year-old Gimhae rice mill turned restaurant: the exterior

Here's the exterior of Anin Jeongmiso & Gaenari Jutaek, sitting stylishly under a blue sky. The vintage red brick building paired with large glass windows gives it a distinctive look, and the food court sign along with parking guidance out front makes it easy to spot from a distance.

There are cute illustrated character posters for Anin Jeongmiso and Gaenari Jutaek, plus a sign noting pets are welcome and a CESCO hygiene certification mark — reassuring details for a first visit.
The courtyard terrace and the milling machines kept inside

Here's the atmospheric outdoor courtyard terrace, covered by a large canopy that blocks the sun.
Lush green potted plants sit on the red brick floor, creating an exotic mood — a great spot to relax outdoors at a leisurely pace.

Here's a map showing the location of Anin Jeongmiso.

At the heart of the interior stands the actual 100-year-old rice-milling machine, used as the centerpiece of the decor.
The massive machine, bearing traces of the old rice mill, blends with the wooden ceiling framework to create a one-of-a-kind vintage aura you can only feel here.

Here's the neatly arranged self-serve bar and pickup counter. The rows of red tomato cans lined up on top show a nice sense of style, and there's a water dispenser, a soup warmer, and extra dishes and utensils, all set up for convenient use.

We visited during weekday lunch hours and, sure enough, there were plenty of other guests.
Anin Jeongmiso menu and prices

Here's the menu board showing the full lineup and prices at a glance. Alongside value-packed 2-person and 3-person set menus, there's a solid selection of handmade dishes — snow crab guts cream pasta, spicy shrimp bisque pasta, sweet pumpkin basil cream gnocchi, Western-style pork cutlet, and chicken soup curry.
From the bread basket to the ridgeback shrimp bisque pasta

Here's the savory pre-meal bread and crunchy cucumber pickles served before the main course. The golden-baked bread, lightly dipped in olive oil balsamic sauce, has a rich, mellow flavor, while the tangy-sweet handmade pickles cleanse the palate between bites.

I ordered a zero-sugar cola.

You've got to have white wine with pasta.

Does anyone recognize that Del Monte water bottle? If you do, you're probably a bit older like me haha ^^;;

Here's the snow crab guts cream pasta, plated elegantly on a black dish. The rich, savory snow crab guts sauce is topped with popping orange flying fish roe, fresh arugula, and a generous dusting of cheese powder — mouthwatering just to look at, and bursting with umami on every bite. A must-try pasta on Bongridan-gil.

Here's the spicy shrimp bisque pasta, served stylishly in a white oval bowl. Made with Jeju spicy shrimp simmered down into a rich bisque sauce, the deep flavor soaks into every strand of pasta, while cherry tomatoes and fresh basil leaves add a clean yet full-bodied taste — the signature dish of this Bonghwang-dong pasta restaurant.

Under cozy lighting, we laid out both pastas and our drinks and enjoyed the meal. Sitting beneath the vintage wooden ceiling with the red brick floor underfoot, tasting these carefully made pastas made for a satisfying time.
