The weather's been so nice lately that I went looking for a good brunch spot with terrace seating, and ended up at Le Bon Goûter, a brunch café in Apgujeong with such a great atmosphere!

Where Le Bon Goûter is and how to park: 10 minutes from Apgujeong Station, valet 5,000 won for 2 hours
Le Bon Goûter sits in a quiet alley on the Dosan Park side of Apgujeong,

and from the entrance it already feels less like Seoul and more like Paris, terrace vibes fully loaded :) It's about a 10-minute walk from Apgujeong Station, and parking is easy since there's a valet booth right in front! Valet costs ₩5,000 for 2 hours.

The outdoor terrace full of flowers and trees
The indoors was pretty and the vibe was great too, but I really loved the terrace seats!

An outdoor terrace full of flowers and trees ✨ It felt amazing in this slightly cooler weather we've been having lately. This was exactly the terrace brunch vibe I'd been looking for!

Le Bon Goûter is known as a galette (savory French buckwheat crepe) spot that's rare to find in Korea. I've had galette in France, and also, funnily enough, had a really good one on a recent trip to Shanghai haha. I was especially curious about Le Bon Goûter's galette because it's made with buckwheat!
What two people ordered: galette, pasta and onion soup
My friend and I, the two of us, went in planning to order just two menu items, but got a little swept up in the French café mood(?) and added an onion soup too!

- Jambon mushroom galette ₩21,000
- Bolognese ragu pasta ₩23,000
- Onion soup ₩11,000

The food came out shortly after! The galette, which I'd been most looking forward to, had such a stunning look that my expectations went straight up 🤗

The terrace was so pretty I kept taking photos!

My friend and I got so into taking photos that we finally snapped out of it, worried the food was getting cold, plated everything, and started eating haha

Onion soup, 11,000 won: generous baguette and melted cheese
We started with the onion soup. From the caramelized onions to the pillowy baguette bread and the generous layer of mozzarella cheese on top, everything was perfect! At French restaurants, onion soup portions can sometimes feel a bit skimpy, but Le Bon Goûter's onion soup came loaded with baguette and cheese just like in the photo, making it a really filling side dish.

Jambon mushroom galette, 21,000 won: how does a buckwheat galette taste?
Le Bon Goûter proudly bills itself as 'Korea's No. 1 galette spot,' so this was the dish I was most excited about before even going. I went back and forth between the salmon galette and the jambon mushroom galette, but ended up picking the jambon mushroom galette because I liked that it came topped with an egg. The jambon (ham), cheese, buttery mushrooms, and egg went really well together, with a subtle hint of arugula tying it all in beautifully. I wondered how the texture would turn out since it's made with buckwheat, but it was totally soft and light, so good! French food is genuinely one of my favorite cuisines, and I was so happy to find a galette this delicious in Seoul. 🥹

Bolognese ragu pasta, 23,000 won: conchiglie in a rich ragu
Le Bon Goûter keeps its pasta menu simple with just three options: lemon pasta, bolognese ragu, and shrimp mushroom cream pasta. Since both the onion soup and the galette were cream-based, we went with the tomato-based bolognese ragu pasta. Turned out to be a great combination. We warmed up first with the onion soup, eased into the meal with the soft galette, then finished things off cleanly with the ragu pasta! The bolognese sauce was rich with meat and toppings, with great texture that paired really well with the shell-shaped conchiglie pasta.

Inside Le Bon Goûter: a Paris-style dining room and restroom
There's a Monet painting on the wall, and inside there's even a map of France and French cookbooks! It genuinely felt like some restaurant in Paris, and I got briefly swept up in that little-trip feeling :)

There's a separate indoor restroom too, which made things nice and comfortable to use. It brought back memories of eating on a terrace during a trip to Paris. On a sunny afternoon, I'd fully recommend this as a delicious, great-atmosphere brunch spot in Apgujeong! Especially the galette, you really have to try it! Next time I'm planning to go back for the salmon galette 😋
