Seongsu café with a second-floor terrace: 5to7 tiramisu soufflé

On lovely-weather days like these, I bet lots of you are looking for a pretty café around Seongsu-dong or Seoul Forest, right? I was especially craving super fluffy soufflé pancakes so, so badly ㅠㅠ I went to 5to7 Seongsu Main Branch :)

The 5to7 café is set a little way inside Seoul Forest-gil. The red-brick building was so charming. You just go up the atmospheric staircase, haha. My friend said this place is easy to walk past, but I really loved its vintage mood!

At the entrance, I saw that it had been featured as one of Seoul's six great restaurants on E Channel's “Today's Meal Is Good.” Since it is recognized as a great spot for soufflé pancakes, I was even more excited.

The moment I stepped inside, I fell for the warm, cozy atmosphere. The mix of wood and white tones felt calm and comfortable. Plants placed here and there added lively little touches.

Cute little objects were arranged by the windows, making for a cozy, sunlit scene. When you sit and look outside, you can see the lush greenery of Seoul Forest!

There are also bar seats along the windows, so it looked like a comfortable place to enjoy alone, too. I sat by a second-floor window, and it felt as though I had come into the forest.

Cool water and cups were set out beside the counter, haha.

There is also a staircase inside the café that goes up to the second floor! It was easy to move around.

The second floor was much larger than the first and felt wonderfully open. With tables and chairs in various styles, I thought it would be fine for groups, too. It was quiet when I visited on a weekday, but I heard it gets completely full on weekends.

There is also a small terrace on the second floor! I think it would be amazing on a nice day. It looked perfect for taking photos against the green forest backdrop and for simply unwinding, haha.

Choosing from the menu

5to7 is known for its many kinds of soufflé pancakes. There were so many flavors, including tiramisu, crème brûlée, and matcha chocolate, so I had to think about it for a while! The drinks menu was also extensive, with coffee, non-coffee drinks, tea, and ade. After much deliberation, I ordered the tiramisu soufflé, a condensed milk latte, and rooibos tea.

Finally, my order came out! The presentation seriously made my heart skip a beat. The soufflé was topped generously with tiramisu cream ㅠㅠ

The condensed milk latte was wonderfully sweet and nutty. It went so well with the sweetness of the soufflé—the combination was truly great!

The rooibos tea was clean and fragrant, leaving my palate refreshed. It was an absolutely dreamy match with the soufflé!

Both the drinks and soufflé were perfect, so it was such a satisfying time.

• It is close to Seoul Forest Station, so it is easy to get to.
• There is parking, which is convenient if you are driving.
• I especially recommend the second-floor terrace seats when the weather is nice.
• Soufflé pancakes take a little time to come out, so visit when you are not in a rush.
• It is a place where you can enjoy fluffy soufflé and delicious drinks.
• I loved the cozy, atmospheric setting, so my intention to return is 100%!
• It is perfect when you are craving a sweet dessert after a walk through Seoul Forest.
