Where is Le Bon Goûter, and what is the terrace like?
Le Bon Goûter is a brunch café a 5-minute walk from Apgujeong Rodeo Station Exit 5. I was looking for a pretty, cozy brunch spot near Apgujeong Rodeo Station for a girls' hangout, and ended up at Le Bon Goûter!

There were terrace seats set up out front, and I thought that on a day with a nice cool breeze like this, sitting outside and enjoying brunch leisurely would be perfect. With the warm sunlight and relaxed vibe, it almost felt like I'd taken a little trip somewhere.

Inside Le Bon Goûter: the interior mood
Walking inside Le Bon Goûter, it was decorated in a cute yet tidy way, and the tables were spaced far enough apart that it didn't feel cramped. Overall the atmosphere was comfortable and pleasant, so it seemed like people came here often for dates as well as gatherings with friends or a girls' hangout.
What's on the Le Bon Goûter menu?

Le Bon Goûter's menu had a wide range of brunch and meal options: smoked salmon galette / jambon cheese galette / mushroom sauté galette / jambon mushroom galette, shrimp mushroom cream pasta / lemon pasta / ragù bolognese conchiglie, French onion soup / mushroom soup, focaccia sandwich / steak and french fries / lasagna / chicken Caesar salad / burrata cheese, banana brûlée crepe / salted caramel crepe / Le Bon Goûter chocolate mousse, and more.

What is a galette?
One of the must-try items at Le Bon Goûter is the galette (French buckwheat crepe). Galette is a traditional dish from the Brittany region of France, made with a thin buckwheat batter topped with various ingredients. Simply put, think of it as a French-style buckwheat crepe — but unlike a typical sweet crepe, it's topped with savory ingredients and eaten as a full meal. Buckwheat has a naturally nutty, clean flavor that pairs well with ham, cheese, egg, salmon, and other ingredients. Le Bon Goûter had several galette options to choose from depending on preference. That day, we ordered the smoked salmon galette, focaccia sandwich, and ABC juice.

How the smoked salmon galette tasted
First up was the smoked salmon galette, the one I was most excited about. Smoked salmon piled on top of a thinly baked galette looked delicious just from the visual. The buckwheat batter was baked slightly crisp on the outside while staying soft and chewy inside. With each bite, the nutty, clean flavor of buckwheat came through subtly, giving it a different charm from a regular wheat crepe. Adding the smoked salmon brought a gentle smoky aroma along with a savory, salty richness. The tender salmon paired with the clean buckwheat galette worked better than I expected, and the buckwheat batter cut through the richness of the salmon cleanly so it never felt heavy.

Eating it together with the salmon, the salty, nutty flavor combined with a refreshing note that made every bite feel balanced. The galette itself isn't a bold or intense dish — it's more about letting the ingredients' natural flavors come together — which made it fit perfectly as a brunch item.

Was the focaccia sandwich worth ordering?
Next, we also tried Le Bon Goûter's focaccia sandwich. The bread had that soft yet chewy focaccia texture I love, lightly toasted on the outside with a nutty flavor that came through more with each bite. The inside was packed with a variety of fillings, so you could enjoy several flavors in a single bite.

The clean, nutty flavor of the bread combined with the savory, hearty fillings made it more filling than expected. The focaccia wasn't dry at all — it stayed moist and chewy, giving a nice texture alongside the fillings. If the galette's charm is the clean, nutty flavor of buckwheat, the focaccia sandwich had its own appeal in the fluffy, chewy bread paired with generous fillings.

ABC juice: what to pair it with
For a drink, we ordered ABC juice. True to being made from apple, beet, and carrot, it had a refreshing taste with a subtle sweetness overall. The bright fruitiness paired with the clean flavor of the vegetables made it a great match with the brunch dishes, and if you prefer light, clean drinks over heavy, rich ones, this would suit you well. Especially after eating something savory and salty like the smoked salmon galette, a sip of ABC juice felt refreshing and cleansed the palate, pairing nicely with the food.
Is Le Bon Goûter a good spot to meet friends?
Overall, Le Bon Goûter was a place I really liked for enjoying a leisurely brunch in a cute, pretty atmosphere. Being able to try French-style galette instead of the usual brunch menu made it special, and the smoked salmon galette was memorable for how well the nuttiness of the buckwheat blended with the smoky salmon. If you're looking for a good-vibe brunch spot near Apgujeong Rodeo Station, or want a pretty space for a girls' hangout with friends, Le Bon Goûter is worth a visit. On a nice day, enjoying brunch on the terrace would be lovely too.
