I was looking for a recommended café in Danyang and ended up visiting JB Coffee (。•ω•。) I was curious because it is known for locally inspired menu items such as garlic bingsu and Sambong Bingsu.

I thought it would be the perfect café for anyone who wants to make their Danyang trip extra special with a unique menu.

A café space for rooftop views and figure browsing
As a place that often comes up on lists of recommended Danyang cafés, it caught my eye right from the exterior. The second-floor rooftop has plenty of spacious outdoor seating, so it looked great for enjoying outside on a nice day.

Parking is available too, which made it convenient to visit by car.

The indoor space was roomy too, and high-quality One Piece figures were displayed throughout, making it fun to look around. There were lots of cute little props as well, so there was never a dull moment for the eyes.

If you enjoy taking photos, I think you will have a great time checking out every little prop. The fact that pets are welcome was another nice point.

Ordering all three flavors of Was It Garlic? Danyang
JB Coffee is popular for its Danyang-inspired bingsu menu, including Was It Garlic? Danyang, Danyang Garlic Bingsu, and Sambong Bingsu. Was It Garlic? Danyang costs ₩10,000 and comes in banana, strawberry, or melon. Danyang Garlic Bingsu (Garlic Samdong Bingsu) and Sambong Bingsu are ₩25,000 each.
Danyang Garlic Bingsu, said to be the world's first dessert developed using Danyang's local six-clove garlic, was another menu item that made me curious. We ordered every flavor of Was It Garlic? Danyang: banana, melon, and strawberry.

What was the garlic-style pull-apart bingsu like?
Bingsu shaped like garlic was seriously so unique! Since we were in Danyang, we had to try everything garlic-related~ As one of Danyang's signature treats, available in banana, strawberry, and melon flavors all year round, it grabbed my attention from the visuals alone!

As the bingsu began to melt, it was so fun pulling it apart clove by clove just like real garlic..!!! You can pour espresso over it like an affogato, and because every ice cream flavor was different, it kept feeling new.

The ice was finely and softly shaved, so it went down easily. Was it milk bingsu..? It stayed cool to the very end without that slightly lukewarm disappointment that bingsu can sometimes have. Strongly recommended for a hot day! They were not an overwhelming size, so I recommend trying all three,, The banana was nutty and rich, the strawberry was tangy and fresh, and the melon was gently sweet—each one had its own charm,,

There was a generous amount, enough for three people to share. It was amazing that one bingsu could bring so many different kinds of fun :) And the garlic-like-but-not-actually-garlic part underneath was really delicious white chocolate,, It looks just like real garlic haha
Why it is a good stop on a Danyang trip
Was It Garlic? Danyang was a dessert that conveyed Danyang's own wit and care in a single bowl of bingsu. Danyang Garlic Bingsu (Garlic Samdong Bingsu) and Sambong Bingsu also sound fun to eat with their unique ingredient combinations, so I definitely want to try the other menu items next time.
With the second-floor rooftop and One Piece figures to browse, it was a café that was great both for photos and for taking a break. With pets and parking allowed too, I think it would be an easy, comfortable stop during a Danyang trip.
