Jeju airport café for decaf hand-drip coffee: Gluttony Coffee

In short

Gluttony Coffee is a dessert café in Jeju, about 10 minutes by car from Jeju Airport. Before returning our rental car, we had decaf iced hand-drip coffee, cake, and a Levain cookie; the rich, low-acidity coffee and dessert selection were especially good. Verdict: a sweet stop before the airport.

On the last day of a Jeju trip, you have to stop at a café before returning the rental car, right? This time I went to Gluttony Coffee, a Jeju spot also famous for its desserts. It is close enough to the airport, so we stopped in before returning the car and properly tucked into coffee and cake!

Overall, it is a really hip café with a lovely atmosphere. Stylish little objects are placed throughout, so it is fun to look around too.

And while the interior is not huge, the floor-to-ceiling windows keep it from feeling cramped and make the view feel wide open, haha.

Coffee and desserts ordered at Gluttony Coffee

Rich, low-acidity decaf hand-drip coffee

Decaf is only available as hand-drip, so I ordered it iced. To be honest, decaf coffee can often be a little disappointing, so I ordered without big expectations—but what???

Decaf iced hand-drip coffee

It was seriously delicious. Even though it was hand-drip, it was rich and had almost no acidity, which I personally really liked. It was decaf but not watery at all, with a clear coffee flavor that was so similar to regular coffee! What a coffee gem. 🤎

Fig cake and coffee

Fig cake and the signature latte

If you love figs, you have to eat them diligently while they are in season. So of course I picked the fig cake right away. The cake layers were soft, and there were generous pieces of fig throughout, making every bite nicely textured. The whipped cream itself was delicious too, so the cake felt really well made!

Gluttony Café Latte and desserts

The Gluttony Café Latte is their signature, so I had high expectations—and it was exactly the kind of rich, nutty latte I had imagined. It was not especially sweet; the nutty flavor of the milk took center stage, so even people who do not like sweet drinks could enjoy it easily. Since the desserts are fairly sweet, coffee that is not too sweet paired with them really well, haha.

The chocolate cake was my husband’s pick. Chocolate lovers cannot pass it by. There were chocolate chips throughout for a fun texture, and the chocolate flavor was rich, so anyone who likes chocolate desserts would be satisfied!

I put the Cream Cheese Red Velvet in the fridge at home and ate it later—wow, this was insanely good. It was packed with cream cheese and incredibly substantial. One of the best Levain cookies I have had. If I had known this was such a great Levain cookie spot, I would have bought more.

And today’s MVP was the hand-drip coffee!! It suited my taste perfectly because I love rich, nutty coffee without acidity. If you are craving a cup of coffee and a sweet dessert before heading to the airport, give Gluttony Coffee a visit.
