Yeoju hanjeongsik for Sunday brunch near the golf courses: Nadeulmok

Today I'm bringing you a review of the rice set Korean restaurant I always eat at when I go to Yeoju — Nadeulmok Yeoju Ssalbap.

Yeoju means rice, right? You have to eat a full Yeoju rice spread to feel like you actually came to Yeoju.

So this time too, before heading to the Yeoju outlets, I stopped by Nadeulmok Yeoju Ssalbap.

A rice-set hanjeongsik restaurant minutes from Yeoju IC and Yeoju Premium Outlets

Nadeulmok Yeoju Ssalbap is right near Yeoju IC, so it's great for a meal on your way in or out of Yeoju. I always eat a rice set here coming in or going out of the Yeoju outlets — today I ate a light breakfast and went straight for it as a late brunch, no debate needed, this Yeoju Korean restaurant.

Do you know why I love this place?! The parking lot is amazing!! Huge, front and back.

Now I get why it's known as the go-to spot for Dongyeoju CC and Namyeoju CC golfers!! The parking is seriously king-level.

Group tables and private rooms for golfers at Nadeulmok Yeoju Ssalbap

Yeoju is famous for its outlets, but it's also famous for its golf courses!

With so many golf courses around, lots of people are looking for somewhere to eat before or after a round. Nadeulmok Yeoju Ssalbap is spacious with big rooms, so a group could probably take over a whole room.

So if you're searching for a Dongyeoju CC restaurant, Namyeoju CC restaurant, or Yeoju golf course restaurant, just search 'Yeoju rice set Korean restaurant' and this place will come up! And the most important thing — restrooms both indoor and outdoor!

If you're coming as a group, this spacious restaurant can still get a wait, so make sure to book ahead.

Menu and ordering rules at Nadeulmok Yeoju Ssalbap

What we ordered: one Nadeulmok set and two braised cutlassfish sets

One nadeulmok set, two braised cutlassfish sets. This is always my go-to combo when I bring my kid!! Whenever I go with my child, we'd always end up with the mackerel rice set — but at this restaurant, the nadeulmok set and soy crab set can be ordered as single-person meals!! Amazing! So for me and my husband we ordered two braised cutlassfish sets, and wow!! It was seriously delicious. Now let me show you the spread we ate today.

Pre-meal dishes: muk-muchim, japchae and fried eggplant

Like bread before a meal, the pre-meal dishes — muk-muchim (seasoned acorn jelly salad), japchae (glass noodle stir-fry), and fried eggplant — greeted us first!

Kids love this muk-muchim and japchae! The kid at the table next to us was eating it really well too! Especially this fried eggplant.

I get why this fried eggplant costs extra now! It's not just eggplant! There's meat stuffed inside and it's incredibly juicy and delicious! Oh my... we've only had the pre-meal dishes and I'm already full, what do I do';;;

Stone-pot rice, side dishes and doenjang stew

Seasonal namul (seasoned vegetable) side dishes, doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew), jeyuk (spicy pork) side, stone-pot rice, and then the mains we ordered. Look at the glossy Yeoju rice in the stone pot~ mackerel and braised cutlassfish arrive together. Sorry, owner... the table legs are about to break... there's no room left for another dish?!

My better half genuinely loves cooking, but this kind of side dish spread is something we just can't make for our kid at home ㅜㅜㅜ

Every single dish tastes free of MSG, all homemade flavor! I fed my kid so many namul that day.

The doenjang jjigae too~ real countryside-style stew!! Both kids and adults love the mackerel and jeyuk.

The star of the table: braised cutlassfish

Alright... now, forget everything else. Today's real star. The real reason to come to this Yeoju restaurant, near the Yeoju outlets?!! The braised cutlassfish.

Wow, seriously... I drank last night, and this completely cured my hangover... I leave rice unfinished every single day?! But I scraped up every bit of the sauce with rice! You know the radish is the real star of braised cutlassfish, right? The radish and the cutlassfish were both insanely good.

Can you see how big the cutlassfish is?!! Seriously a giant fish.

Honestly... we ate and ate... there was so much it was almost too much? If you're going with a kid, the adults should definitely get the braised cutlassfish!

Finish it off with nurungji (scorched rice tea) and today's meal comes to a close ^^

Verdict: a Yeoju restaurant where kids and adults order different sets

My personal favorite was the braised cutlassfish set, hands down. Whenever I've eaten a rice set in Yeoju with my kid, we always ended up with bulgogi or mackerel because of them — but this time at this restaurant near the Yeoju outlets, Nadeulmok Yeoju Ssalbap, the nadeulmok set and soy crab set can be ordered for one person, so my husband and I got to have a truly delicious meal of our own.

Best time to arrive to skip the wait

I arrived Sunday at 11:30am and there was no wait? But the tables were nearly full. By 12:20pm the wait had started. If you hate waiting hell, go for a late brunch like us! Or a late lunch!!!

Hours: Mon–Fri 11:00–20:30, Sat–Sun 10:30–20:00, break time 15:00–17:00.
