Lake-view window seat at a Sejong Korean restaurant: Bapkkot Hansang
In short
Bapkkot Hansang is a hanjeongsik (Korean set-table) restaurant on the 3rd floor of Sejongmachi in Eojin-dong, Sejong, overlooking Sejong Lake Park. On a weekday just after 1pm, a window seat at Bapkkot Hansang came with a full lake view and the 25,000 won per-person Bapkkot Special, served in two rounds: a first table of side dishes, then a second with rice, tteokgalbi (grilled short rib patty) and gangdoenjang (thick soybean stew). Even taking just a little of each dish, the course turned out to be surprisingly filling.

I was craving Korean food in Sejong, so I headed to Bapkkot Hansang in Eojin-dong. The dish I picked that day was the Bapkkot Special course! Even when the first round landed, I thought, wow, that's already a lot of dishes — but a little while later a second table's worth arrived and the whole vibe at the table changed.
Once the plates started filling up, I found myself hesitating with my chopsticks, wondering what to try first, haha. Bouncing between dishes, I ended up properly stuffed. Let me walk through the Bapkkot Special spread, the price, parking, and the lake park view from the window seat, one by one.
Where is Bapkkot Hansang, and what should you know first?

Bapkkot Hansang sits on the 3rd floor, Unit 303, of Sejongmachi in Eojin-dong. The address is 91 Doum8-ro, 3rd floor, Unit 303, Sejong, South Korea, and it's open Mon–Sat 11:00–21:00, Sunday 11:00–15:00, with a break time from 15:00 to 17:00.
If your itinerary includes Sejong Lake Park or the Sejong National Arboretum, this Eojin-dong restaurant is worth considering for a meal.

The building directory listed Unit 303 too, so even on my first visit I didn't get lost. Hours and details can change, so it's worth checking before you go.
How busy is Bapkkot Hansang at 1pm on a weekday?
I visited on a weekday. I figured it would be quiet past the lunch peak, after 1pm, but a few tables still had customers — my expectation was a little off, lol.

The interior had a cozy wood-tone feel, and we sat by the window that day. The afternoon sun was strong so we lowered the blinds, but the view of the lake park outside was surprisingly nice. Came for a meal, ended up with a view too.
How much is the Bapkkot Special, and what's on the menu?

Looking over the menu, besides the set-table courses there were quite a few other options — herbal pork bowl, octopus shrimp bowl, minari tteokgalbi bowl, and more.

The Bapkkot Signature course is ₩30,000, and the Bapkkot Special I ordered is ₩25,000 per person, available for 2 or more people. Since I wanted to try a bit of everything rather than commit to one dish, I went with the Bapkkot Special!
The Bapkkot Special arrives in two rounds

The Bapkkot Special at Bapkkot Hansang wasn't served all at once from the start.

First came a run of appetite-opening side dishes — salad, boiled pork, tofu kimchi and pancakes, noodles, and japchae-style greens, one after another.

From noodles with a perilla-seed flavor to a japchae-style dish made with seaweed and konjac, plus a side with eggplant and zucchini — every plate had different ingredients and textures, so my chopsticks were already busy at the first table. I thought that was it, but it wasn't over yet, haha.

A little while later, the mains and more side dishes filled the table again — rice, tteokgalbi (grilled short rib patties), gangdoenjang (thick soybean paste dip) and doenjang stew, plus bangpungnamul, perilla leaves, chwinamul, and samchae greens. With the second round in place, the table was packed with almost no empty space — 'hansang' (a table full of food) fit perfectly.
From tofu kimchi to gangdoenjang: how the dishes tasted
What stood out from the first table was the tofu kimchi! Instead of well-fermented sour kimchi or sweet stir-fried kimchi, it was closer to a crisp, freshly-seasoned geotjeori-style kimchi.
Topped over mild tofu, it went down light and refreshing, not heavy at all.
At the second table, the thick tteokgalbi caught my eye first.

After enjoying the tteokgalbi, I picked up some fragrant greens and had a spoonful of warm doenjang stew — mixing up the combinations within one spread was part of the fun.
Personally, the gangdoenjang stuck with me most. According to the restaurant, it's made with seasonal shiitake and king oyster mushrooms from South Chungcheong Province, plus eggplant, scallions, and peppers grown at Bapkkot Farm, blended with savory doenjang. I half-expected it to be salty, but it actually wasn't, to my taste.
Mixed into rice and topped with a bit of bangpungnamul, chwinamul, or samchae, the herbal aroma and crunch of the greens made for a great match. It was good just mixed into rice on its own, and adding a different green each time meant a new combination every bite.
A little of everything, and still completely full

The Bapkkot Special was less about focusing on one dish and more about the fun of sampling a wide range of Korean food. I took my time, picking a bit of this, a bit of that.
Following the first table with rice, tteokgalbi, stew, gangdoenjang, and namul side dishes, the fullness crept up on me at some point. I'd only picked a little each time, yet somehow I was already full, lol. Still, whenever I spotted a side dish I hadn't touched yet, curiosity sent my chopsticks right back over, haha.
Parking at Sejongmachi: register your plate before you leave
If you're driving to Bapkkot Hansang, use the building's underground parking lot. After eating, register your license plate on the tablet at the counter to complete parking validation! We made sure to do it before heading out too.
Support hours or conditions may change, so it's best to check with the restaurant on the day of your visit.
Is Bapkkot Hansang worth it near Sejong Lake Park?

Even after the weekday lunch rush, several tables still had customers, and the window seat gave us a nice view toward the lake park, making for a pleasant meal. What stuck with me most was how the Bapkkot Special course was completed in two rounds.
From crisp tofu kimchi to tteokgalbi, gangdoenjang, doenjang stew, and fragrant namul side dishes, I got to enjoy a wide range in one sitting. Reaching for this and that, I ended up quite full. If a set-table meal comes to mind while visiting Sejong Lake Park or the Sejong National Arboretum,

take a look at the Bapkkot Special price and menu, along with the window seats and parking info. At Bapkkot Hansang near Sejong Lake Park, if you're like me and hate missing a single side dish when there are this many, get ready for your chopsticks to stay busy, haha.
