Picnic sandwiches near Seokchon Lake: truffle jambon, Town Sandwich

It's been such nice weather for walks and picnics lately with fall setting in. Sharing my review of eating at Town Sandwich, a Jamsil sandwich shop near Seokchon Lake.

Where is Town Sandwich Jamsil Branch, and how far is it from Jamsil Station?

Town Sandwich Jamsil Branch is within walking distance of Jamsil Station, located on the ground floor of The Sharp Star Park mall, right across from Jangmi Apartment. It's also a good spot to stop by while visiting Lotte World Mall or Seokchon Lake in Jamsil!

Inside Town Sandwich: is it comfortable for eating alone?

Town Sandwich Jamsil Branch isn't a huge store, but it has seats good for eating solo as well as tables for groups. These days Jamsil is packed with people wherever you go on weekends, so it was a nice, low-key spot for when you don't want a full sit-down meal at a crowded restaurant.

There are kiosks both outside and inside the store for easy ordering. You can pick according to your taste from the signature Town Sandwich to jambon-beurre, truffle jambon-beurre, basil jambon-beurre, grilled chicken bánh mì, Cajun chicken curry sandwich, and more.

You can order sandwiches à la carte, or as a set with coffee, a drink, or soup, which seemed good for breakfast, brunch, or a proper lunch. Most of all, since everything is made after you order, it definitely felt fresher than a pre-made sandwich.

Prize draw and free iced tea for a Naver review

When you buy a sandwich you can join a no-miss prize draw in the store, and if you leave a Naver receipt review you can get an iced tea — so everyone should grab that free iced tea so you don't choke on the bread, haha!

In one corner of the store there were straws, tissues, wet wipes, and cute Town Sandwich stickers laid out too.

Truffle jambon vs Town Sandwich with extra egg mayo

I ordered the truffle jambon sandwich and the basic Town Sandwich with extra egg mayo added.

The truffle jambon sandwich was cut into thirds.

The Town Sandwich got thicker with the added egg mayo, so it was cut in half.

Comparing the two, the Town Sandwich felt like a classic sandwich with tomato in it, while the truffle jambon had that classic feel of the jambon sandwiches trending these days. If you want something more filling, go with the Town Sandwich; if you want something lighter and cleaner, go with the jambon-beurre sandwich. That's a good way to decide between them.

Same-day baguette: crisp outside, soft inside, easy on the roof of your mouth

What I liked most about Town Sandwich was, of course, the bread. With baguette sandwiches, sometimes it's so hard it scrapes the roof of your mouth, haha. But here the outside is lightly crisp while the inside is softer than expected, and since it's a same-day-baked baguette, it went really well with the fillings.

The vegetables inside the sandwich also kept a crunchy texture, so overall it felt light and clean rather than heavy. When you bite in, it's not just mouthfuls of bread — the filling-to-bread ratio is well balanced, so it was more filling than expected. Sandwich prices aren't cheap these days either, but compared to a café brunch in Jamsil, this felt like an affordable way to get a full meal. Especially good paired with coffee for a simple brunch!
