My boyfriend works around Yeongdeungpo, so Yeouido is convenient for us to meet, and since we were going drinking I wanted somewhere with a good atmosphere — that's how I ended up at Robadayakki Sodam Yeouido Branch! Let's get into it!

Robadayakki Sodam is less than a 10-minute walk from Yeouido Station,
The place is set a little further in, but it wasn't hard to find — we got there without wandering around.
We visited around 7pm on a Sunday, having made a Naver Reservation beforehand. Just a heads-up if you're planning to go!
The first thing I noticed walking in was the overall atmosphere. The lighting was slightly low, and I thought — oh, this is exactly the kind of mood for drinking!! (squeal) Not too quiet, not too loud, just the right amount of lively, which I really liked ><
Skewers were being grilled right in the middle of the restaurant, which added even more to that distinctive Yeouido Station izakaya atmosphere.
Off to the side there was a fridge case with tuna and other fish, and the overall interior felt clean and upscale! There were quite a few couples there when we visited too, so it seemed like a solid date spot among Yeouido bars.
We sat at our reserved table, and each table has its own partition! The tables weren't packed too close together either, so my boyfriend and I could talk comfortably without raising our voices haha

The assorted skewers at Robadayakki Sodam Yeouido Branch come in a good variety. Just off the top of my head, I remember
- Ginkgo nut skewer
- Cherry tomato skewer
- Rice cake (tteok) skewer
- Shrimp skewer
- Chicken thigh skewer
- Heart skewer, and more
With 11 kinds across 13 pieces, it's a great order if you want to try a little of everything. We'd actually already had a first round of drinks elsewhere, so this felt like quite a lot of food. If you're heading here for a second round like we were, I think just one order of assorted skewers would be plenty.
Overall the seasoning wasn't too strong, just right — and especially the meat skewers weren't dry at all, staying moist with the juices well preserved. Very satisfying!!!
Trying Ilpum Jinro for the first time at a Yeouido Station izakaya
On my boyfriend's recommendation, I tried Ilpum Jinro for the first time that day lol
It cost ₩26,000 a bottle. At first we drank it lightly, mixed with ice and tonic water.
Honestly, this was my first time trying Ilpum Jinro because my boyfriend talked me into it (?), but it was tastier than I expected...!!! Paired with the grilled skewers, the combo was really good.
We messed around like this too lol but as the night went on I got more and more tipsy...!! I ended up sticking mostly to tonic later on, while my boyfriend switched to drinking it straight lol
Sitting in a good-vibe Yeouido bar, slowly working through skewers one at a time while talking and drinking, our energy sort of built up together, you know? >< You know what I mean, right? lol
Joining the review event!
There was also a review event, so of course I jumped right in. They gave us a cute little ice cream, which was such a satisfying way to finish the meal. Thumbs up~ lol
Why this Yeouido bar worked well as a date spot
The staff were friendly and made us feel comfortable, and overall the date-night mood came together naturally. All the little elements just lined up well, so it ended up being a great date memory haha. If you're looking for a Yeouido bar with atmosphere, an izakaya near Yeouido Station, or a spot for a couple's date, I think this place would suit you well.
