Seoul Korean BBQ with soybean-powder pork skin dip: Yukjjip, Eungam
In short
Yukjjip is a Jirisan-aged Korean BBQ restaurant in Eunpyeong, Seoul, a 1-minute walk from Eungam Station Exit 4. Staff grill the whole pork belly (180g) and gabrisal (150g) at the table, while the handmade pork skin at 7,000 won is grilled crisp by diners on a raised plate and dipped in soybean powder. Between that pork skin and the review-event handmade sausage, Yukjjip is a Korean BBQ spot worth a second visit.

There are a lot of cafés in Eunpyeong that are exactly my style, so my friend and I go there pretty often ,, but it's a bit far just for a café trip, so we always end up having dinner there too. We spend forever deciding what to eat, and somehow we always end up defaulting to a Korean BBQ place ,,,⭐️
This time we went to Yukjjip (육쯥).

Where is Yukjjip, and what are its hours and parking?

It's a 1-minute walk from Eungam Station Exit 4, so it was really easy to get to. We went on a weekend evening and there was about one group waiting, but the wait was way shorter than expected — we got in almost right away !! The place has a 2nd floor, and since it was busy we headed upstairs ,,

Once you climb the stairs, ,, the 2nd floor opens up and there were quite a lot of tables !!

Yukjjip's second floor and its Jirisan-aged pork
The 2nd floor at Yukjjip was bigger than I expected, and the clean black interior made the mood feel even nicer. It's great for hanging out with a friend like me, but it'd also work well for a date or a group dinner!
Yukjjip grills Jirisan-aged meat with that alive charcoal aroma, so you can just relax and eat ,,,🔥 The staff grill it to that perfect golden doneness like true pros — honestly, if I find another good café in Eunpyeong, I'm coming right back here !!!

Yukjjip menu and prices
Yukjjip has full meal options too, right down to water dropwort. There's a wide range of meat — whole pork belly, gabri, whole gabrisal, handmade sausage, and handmade pork skin ,, plus meal menus like kimchi jjigae, doenjang jjigae, doenjang rice roll, soondubu jjigae, yeolmu bibimbap, and yeolmu noodles ,,, so there's so much to enjoy. And the prices were cheaper than I expected ,, which made it even better 🫶🏻

📋 Gabrisal 150g ₩17,000 / Whole pork belly 180g ₩17,000 / Handmade pork skin ₩7,000 / Yeolmu bibimbap ₩5,000 / Zero-sugar cola ₩2,000 (Definitely try the review-event handmade sausage ,, it's insanely good 🤤)

What side dishes come with the meat at Yukjjip?
The lineup of lettuce wraps, bean-sprout scallion salad, ssamjang, salt, wild garlic leaves, white kimchi, scallion kimchi, salted anchovy, and garlic was great, and personally the white kimchi and wild garlic leaves went really well with the meat !

The side dishes alone were already great ,,, but the meat here is seriously next level ,,⭐️ The mouthwatering visuals paired with the yeolmu bibimbap we ordered were an insane combo !!

Staff grill the whole pork belly and gabrisal for you
They fire up the grill ,, and the staff member waits for it ,,, 🥺

The meat comes out with vegetables — mushrooms, eggplant, and some green leafy thing (what is this one ..?) all grilled golden together ✨

Isn't the visual insane ,,,🥺 I still think about the taste and want to go back haha. Beautifully grilled whole pork belly and gabrisal ,,

They cut it into perfect bite-sized pieces ,,

Once it's fully grilled, they arrange the meat neatly in a long tray in front of you ,, then you just pick pieces up one by one with your chopsticks 🤤 The yeolmu bibimbap arrived while the meat was still grilling !

Yeolmu bibimbap for 5,000 won — the missing sesame oil
Yukjjip's yeolmu bibimbap is ₩5,000, and the portion is so generous it's hard to believe it's only five thousand won 〰️ They drizzle the seasoning sauce all around it
and you mix it all up, but one slightly disappointing thing is there's no sesame oil ,,, and sesame oil is basically the soul of bibimbap 🥺

Still, it mixed up nicely and turned a good reddish color 🥵 Put a piece of meat on top and it tastes insane !

Whew, I guess I took more photos than I realized ,,, scrolling through all these meat photos is painful hahaha

The scallion kimchi here was really good too !! The white kimchi was solid as well ,,,⭐️ Try wrapping the meat with your own favorite side dish

Bibimbap, meat, bean sprouts, all of it ,, so good !! And please, please try the review-event sausage ,,, grilled to a nice squeaky bite that's just as good as the pork belly ✨

Handmade pork skin for 7,000 won, dipped in soybean powder
The last menu item at Yukjjip is pork skin !!! The handmade pork skin is ₩7,000, and maybe because it's handmade, the fat was trimmed really neatly. They also give you a raised grill plate to set the skin on so you can get it perfectly golden and crispy !! (though grilling the skin is up to you ,,,self-service)

Once it's grilled nice and golden, you dip it right into the soybean powder ,, I'd honestly come back just for the pork skin ㅠ

Is Yukjjip near Eungam Station worth it? Final verdict
Out of all the places I've been to recently, this pork skin ranks number one 🔥 The meat is already delicious, but the pork skin being handmade made it feel so much cleaner and better to eat !! Lastly ,, if you're looking for a great Korean BBQ spot in Eunpyeong, I'd recommend Yukjjip — from how the place is run to the taste of the meat, everything was on point !!⭐️ I'll definitely be back next time I find another nice café in Eunpyeong to visit nearby.
