When the cool breeze started making me crave something hot and rich, I went looking for a good spot to warm up — and ended up at Oreno Ramen Eunpyeong.

If you're hunting for a great ramen spot in Eunpyeong-gu, this is a name you've probably heard before.

Visiting in person, from the clean interior to the rich chicken-broth ramen, it turned out to be an all-around satisfying meal.

Oreno Ramen Eunpyeong is located at 366 Bulgwangcheon-gil, Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul. It's not hard to find — just walk along Bulgwangcheon from Saejeol Station — so it was easy to reach by public transit.

It's right next to Bulgwangcheon, so it's also a nice spot for a stroll before or after your meal.

Bar seats and open kitchen: eating alone at Oreno Ramen Eunpyeong

The Oreno Ramen Eunpyeong interior is clean and compact overall. There are bar-style seats, so eating alone doesn't feel awkward, and there are also tables, making it fine to visit with friends or family. The open kitchen was also a fun touch — you can watch your ramen being made.

Tori paitan and karai paitan, 13,000 won each

The signature menu items at Oreno Ramen Eunpyeong are tori paitan and karai paitan, both priced at ₩13,000.

First, tori paitan is Oreno Ramen's flagship dish, featuring a rich, savory chicken paitan (white broth). The pale, creamy broth looks intense from the first glance, and it delivers — the deep flavor and smooth character of chicken broth come through clearly.

If you like spicy food, karai paitan is worth recommending. It takes the same savory, rich broth as tori paitan and adds a spicy kick, so it suits anyone who enjoys a fiery ramen.

You can add tsukune chashu or pork belly chashu as toppings for your ramen, each priced at ₩3,000. Adding toppings to your taste makes the bowl even more filling.

Unlimited noodle, rice and broth refills, plus pepper on request

Another strong point of Oreno Ramen is that you can enjoy extra noodles, rice, and broth. With one order per person, you can refill noodles, rice, and broth as many times as you like, and if needed, they'll also bring out Korean-made mat-kimchi (seasoned kimchi).

You can also ask for pepper if you like. I love pepper, so I requested some and sprinkled it over my ramen.

Is Oreno Ramen Eunpyeong worth a visit? Final verdict

Oreno Ramen Eunpyeong is a great spot to visit near Saejeol Station and Bulgwangcheon when you're craving rich chicken-broth ramen. The menu is simple and easy to choose from, making it a good fit for everything from solo meals to casual get-togethers. I especially liked being able to pick between the rich, savory tori paitan and the fiery karai paitan depending on my mood.

Oreno Ramen Eunpyeong is currently open daily from 11:00 to 20:30, with a break time from 14:30 to 17:00, and dinner last order at 20:00.

It's the kind of tempting flavor that makes you go back for at least one refill every visit.

Even the refills come in generous, appetizing portions.

Oreno Ramen's broth is quite rich but well-seasoned, making it a flavor most people would enjoy.
