Eungam Korean BBQ with a 4-step tasting order: 600g platter at Yukjjip
In short
Yukjjip is a Korean BBQ restaurant in Eunpyeong, Seoul, right by Bulgwangcheon stream and a short walk from Eungam Station. After a wait of 6 teams, the writer ordered the Yukjjip Assorted 600g (54,000 won), which staff grilled from start to finish while explaining the eating order — pink salt, then salted shrimp, then meljeot (anchovy sauce), then baek-kimchi (white kimchi) — so the same pork tasted different each round. With soju at 1,000 won during the event, Yukjjip is clear value for money.

A pork belly restaurant near Bulgwangcheon stream in Eunpyeong — my review of Yukjjip!

Where is Yukjjip near Eungam Station, and how long is the wait?
Yukjjip is easy to find — it's a meat restaurant right in front of Bulgwangcheon stream, a short walk from Eungam Station. I found it while searching for pork belly restaurants in Eunpyeong, and the course of eating here then walking along the stream afterward is great 👍 When I arrived, there was a wait of a whopping 6 teams. I waited a bit, but after eating, I totally got it!
Inside Yukjjip: seating across two floors

Yukjjip's interior goes up to the 2nd floor, so there's more seating than you'd expect. Plenty of room for groups or family gatherings! The interior is kept cool and comfortable, so there was none of that usual stuffiness you get at BBQ places.

At the entrance hangs a banner reading "Official Certified Store of Jirisan Barohandon." That means they only use pigs raised in the pristine Jirisan region! This right here explains why the meat quality is so good,,❤️

The 1,000 won soju event (July 1 to October 31)
The drinks event here is genuinely insane!!!!

As a customer appreciation event, soju is ₩1,000 and bottled beer is ₩2,000! Running from July 1 to October 31 — soju with meat like this, I just can't pass it up...★ The meat is already reasonably priced, and with drinks this cheap too, the value for money is unbeatable lol
They're also running a receipt review event — write a photo review and you get a 20cm house-made sausage!!
Best order for two: the Yukjjip Assorted 600g at 54,000 won
The Yukjjip Assorted 600g (₩54,000) comes with whole pork belly + Yukjjip's signature pork neck + gabrisal.

The whole pork belly, signature pork neck, and gabrisal all come out filling the table,

and the first thing you notice is the thickness! Not the thin pork belly you usually see — these are chunky pieces, about two finger-joints thick.

Staff grill the pork from start to finish
And the best part here — staff grill everything from start to finish! No wrestling with the grill yourself, just sit and wait..♥ Though honestly, waiting for the meat to cook was the hardest part lol

They grill it thick and cut it with scissors — crispy outside, juices still locked in inside ㅠㅠ

You can tell the pork neck is a really good cut. Even though it's thick, there's zero dryness — completely tender.
The whole pork belly is clean and mild, and the gabrisal has an unusual nuttiness.
Setting the anchovy sauce dish in the middle to simmer gently and dipping the meat in it was such a great combo ❤️

The 4-step eating order: pink salt, salted shrimp, meljeot, baek-kimchi
According to Yukjjip's own guidance, you should eat the first bite with Himalayan pink salt, the second with salted shrimp, the third with anchovy sauce, and the fourth with baek-kimchi (white kimchi).

Following the order, the same meat kept tasting completely different — never a dull moment!

Side dishes and finishing with doenjang rice rolls
The side dishes are neat, one by one. Seasoned bean sprouts, baek-kimchi, green onion kimchi, wild garlic leaves, ssamjang, and lettuce all come out cleanly arranged. The green onion kimchi especially went perfectly with the meat!
The doenjang rice roll had a spicy yet savory flavor!>< Not overpowering, but with a clean finish — perfect for wrapping up after all that meat. Mixing rice into the earthenware pot with tofu and zucchini makes for a truly perfect finish 👍
Is Yukjjip worth it? Final thoughts on this Eungam Station Korean BBQ
There are so many pork belly restaurants in Eungam-dong, but Yukjjip has clear reasons why you should come here! Good meat, good fire, good grill, good side dishes, even good value for money! If you're looking for a pork belly restaurant in Eunpyeong or a meat restaurant near Eungam Station, this will be a choice you won't regret!❤️
