Is Ryusenso Beomeo Branch good for solo dining? Seats and atmosphere
Ryusenso Beomeo Branch mostly has bar seating, so it was a comfortable place for solo diners too.

It seemed popular enough that lots of delivery orders were coming in too.

There were about 4 tables for 4 people. Overall it was clean while still having the distinctive atmosphere of a Japanese ramen shop.

Ryusenso Beomeo Branch menu and prices
Ramen menu items went up by ₩1,000 each. You can add chashu, tamago (soft-boiled egg), green onion, wood ear mushroom, bamboo shoots and more. Extra noodles ₩2,000 / rice bowl ₩1,000.

You can ask for a lighter-seasoned broth. Depending on taste, I'd recommend adding pepper and 1-2 spoons of minced garlic.
Pickled radish and minced garlic are under the kiosk.
Spoons, chopsticks, water cups, tissues, plus pepper, shichimi (Japanese seven-spice), and small dishes are all set up at the table. There was even a hair tie, which was a nice touch.
- Ryusenso Kara ₩11,000
- Ryusenso Asari ₩11,000
- Tori Karaage ₩8,000
- Rice bowl ₩1,000
What does the clam-broth Ryusenso Asari ramen taste like?
The Ryusenso Asari (₩11,000) had a clean, refreshing broth from being simmered with clams. It had that distinctive savory freshness of clams, the kind of flavor that keeps you coming back for more...

The noodles are a bit different between the Kara and Asari. The Asari uses a slightly thicker medium noodle.

How spicy is the Ryusenso Kara at spice level 3?
The Ryusenso Kara (₩11,000) is the spicy version of tonkotsu ramen. I like spicy food so I ordered level 3. It was fine even on an empty stomach.

In pasta terms, the noodle texture was al dente. I like a firmer bite, so I enjoyed it a lot!

The broth was a very rich tonkotsu. It wasn't just spicy for spice's sake — you could clearly taste the sharp, spicy kick in the broth itself.

It came with tamago, chashu, green onion, wood ear mushroom, and more — eating the wood ear mushroom together with the noodles gave a great texture.

Adding a spoonful of minced garlic and a bit of pepper deepened the flavor and made it even tastier. I highly recommend the garlic and pepper!

Tori Karaage and its two dipping sauces
The Tori Karaage (₩8,000) was well-fried, moist inside and crispy outside. They prepared two sauces — mayo sauce and soy sauce — so I could try it different ways.

Mixing rice into the leftover tonkotsu broth
The rice bowl is ₩1,000, and my friend who came with me mixed rice into the leftover broth. Is that a guy thing, haha?
I stole a bite too — once the broth soaks into the rice, it feels a bit like eating a spicy guk-bap (soup rice) rather than ramen, and it was a nice change of pace, hahahahaha.
If you're looking for Japanese ramen in Beomeo-dong, I think you'll be quite satisfied here.
It's also great for solo dining — come by whenever you're craving a warm bowl of ramen!
