Free ciabatta swap and sold-out fig baguette at Seoul Station: Dance

These days I never seem to sit still — running around everywhere, and even right after a meal I get hungry again fast. When I'm trying to figure out something simple but satisfying, a sandwich is always the answer ^^

So I headed to Dance Dance Dance Seoul Station, a brunch spot near Seoul Station inside Grand Central, for a simple but delicious sandwich =3

Getting to Dance Dance Dance Seoul Station

It's about 200 meters from Exit 4 of Seoul Station, so a 1–2 minute walk is plenty. It sounds like it could be confusing in such a big building, but you just take the elevator right next to the exit straight down and you're there. Plus the first 60 minutes of parking are free! (After that, ₩1,200 per 10 minutes.)

Once you come down to basement level 3 of the Grand Central building, there are two cafés right in the middle — and one of them is Dance Dance Dance Seoul Station! When I first heard the name I thought, what is this place?! Something to do with dancing?! I couldn't find any connection to sandwiches, but it felt like a name that promised some fun haha.

There are no partitions, so the space feels wide open — even on basement level 3, it didn't feel cramped or stuffy to sit in at all.

The space, the seats, and a 7am opening

The store has 8 tables, seating around 32, and with the soft lighting the atmosphere was really nice too ^^ It opens at 7am, so you can grab takeout on your way to work. A Seoul Station sandwich spot you can enjoy on your commute in, at lunch, or on your way home!

The menu and the fall lineup

There are single items like sandwiches and baguettes, plus set menus great for brunch, and they sell coffee and drinks too. Dance Dance Dance also sells goods — T-shirts, caps, and mugs!!

They roll out new menu items each season, and for fall there's a fig matcha baguette~ There's also a Dubai pistachio baguette and a ham and egg sandwich, with new items keeps being added, so the fun of picking something new should only keep growing ^^

The fig matcha baguette was sold out, so here's what I picked instead

I really wanted to try the fig matcha baguette since it's a fall-season item, but it looked like it was sold out~ A bit disappointing, but I went with the basics that never fail — the baguette sandwich and the jambon jalapeño sandwich >.<

If you'll need to pack up partway through eating, ask for takeout packaging from the start

With a regular order it comes in a lidless paper box, but for takeout it comes with a lid like this. Since my timing was a bit awkward and I knew I'd need to pack it up mid-meal, I asked for takeout packaging in advance >.<

Baguette sandwich, ₩8,900

Baguette sandwich ₩8,900 / jambon jalapeño sandwich ₩11,900 (ciabatta swap). Switching from the default baguette to ciabatta comes with no extra charge at all. The texture difference is pretty significant, so it really comes down to whether you're a baguette person or a ciabatta person! I'm personally more of a baguette person, but I like ciabatta too haha, so I swapped one of mine to ciabatta.

A baguette sandwich with Charcuterie's handmade ham and cheese, lettuce, and a sweet-and-tangy sauce.

It might sound simple, basic even, but the sweet-and-tangy house sauce gives it a different edge from an ordinary baguette sandwich?! And the baguette itself is delicious too ^^

The jambon jalapeño sandwich, swapped to ciabatta

If you like spicy food, there's no walking past jalapeños ㅋ The jambon jalapeño sandwich (ciabatta) has Charcuterie's ham, jalapeños, and tofu cream cheese, so it's spicy but also has a nutty richness. Cream cheese alone can start to feel heavy, but with the jalapeños chopped in fine, the whole thing comes out spicy yet smooth.

A different kind of appeal from the crunchy baguette — the ciabatta is soft and moist, easy on the teeth. And on top of that, the tofu cream cheese brings a clean, nutty richness with a spicy kick~
