Gwangalli pizza restaurant with crayon coloring tables: Extra Mile

On a cool, breezy autumn evening, I went on a weekend date with my husband in Gwangalli. He loves pizza so much that we decided to check out the newly opened Extra Mile in Gwangalli 🍕🍕. True to a Gwangalli favorite, the restaurant had such a great atmosphere, and the food had its own unique charm too. Here's my review!

Where is Extra Mile in Gwangalli, and where do you park?

Extra Mile is located at 11 Suyeong-ro 554beon-ga-gil, 1st floor, Suyeong-gu, Busan, inside a Gwangalli alley. Given the nature of the alley, there's no separate parking available, so I'd recommend taking public transit if you can. (Nearest parking lot: Boseong Private Parking Lot)

When I arrived in front of the restaurant, the exterior already had such a charming vibe, so I liked it from the very first impression.

Inside Extra Mile: the room and the crayon coloring tables

Stepping inside Extra Mile, the warm wood-tone interior greeted me right away. It had such a cozy feel, almost like walking into a café.

The tables were spaced generously apart, so we could eat comfortably. The plants scattered around added a nice freshness too! 💚

The table setting was also really neat. I noticed crayons in a paper cup and wondered what they were for — turns out they're for coloring the illustrated sheets placed on the table, haha. Such a nice touch for kids or couples on a date to enjoy together.

At the self-bar, water and pickles were ready to go. Everything was arranged so neatly, which left a good impression.

Extra Mile menu and the Classic Combo two-person set

The Extra Mile menu is built around a la carte pizza and pasta plus a set menu (Classic Combo), and you can choose two flavors for a half-and-half pizza at no extra charge! We picked the Classic Combo two-person set.

We went with the Classic Combo two-person set (1 pizza + 1 pasta): half hot honey pepperoni, half potato pizza, white ragu pasta, and a cola to finish it off! After ordering, they brought out the pickles and cola first.

The cola glass came with ice and a lemon slice inside. Such a thoughtful little touch for a date spot, haha.

Finally, the dishes we ordered arrived, and they looked delicious just from the visuals! Maybe because it was a late evening and I was hungry, but I was practically drooling. Extra Mile apparently makes its dough in-house using premium Italian flour and the Biga pre-fermentation method! Thanks to the 48-hour cold-aged dough, the crust was crisp outside and chewy inside.

How does the white ragu pasta taste?

We tried the white ragu pasta first, and it felt different from the ragu pasta I usually eat. The ragu sauce, slow-simmered with beef and pork, was blended with cream for a savory yet deep flavor — really outstanding. The sauce clung well to the noodles, and it was genuinely delicious.

Half hot honey pepperoni, half potato pizza

For the pizza, we started with the hot honey pepperoni. The combination of the sweet-spicy sauce and salty pepperoni was really good. It also came with sour cream, which softened the spiciness a bit, and overall it felt different from pepperoni pizza I've had elsewhere — in a good way.

The potato pizza was light yet still had that nutty potato flavor, so it never got tiring. Unlike other potato pizzas with thick potato slices, this one had both thin potato slices and crispy shredded potato on top, so the texture changed twice as we ate! Between the half-and-half pizza and the pasta, we really made the most of the two-person set.

Is Extra Mile a good date spot in Gwangalli?

Gwangalli's Extra Mile had delicious pizza and pasta, plus a cozy, stylish atmosphere. In particular, the unusual pizza combination and the white ragu pasta made the meal feel even richer. If you're planning something special in Gwangalli, or just want to try pizza that's a little different from the usual, Extra Mile could be a great choice.
