Where is Andamiro in Daegu?

Andamiro is a seafood restaurant tucked into the food alley behind the TBC broadcasting station in Dusan-dong, Suseong-gu, Daegu. It's open daily from 16:00 to 01:00 the next day, with parking for about 2 cars in front of the restaurant, and it's about a 7-minute walk from Suseongmot Station Exit 1.

Today I'm introducing <Andamiro>, a seafood specialty restaurant I ended up at after suddenly craving seafood while wandering the Dusan-dong food alley. I'd visited before and recommended it to a friend, and turns out they've already become a regular haha.

Apparently 'Andamiro' means 'piled up to overflowing in a bowl,' and this place really lives up to its name^_^

Inside Andamiro: seating and room for groups

Inside Andamiro there are about 7–8 tables for 4 spaced out generously, and tables can be pushed together for group seating. There are more tables further in, but I couldn't photograph them since there were customers there🙄

Andamiro's charm point — the soju and beer bottles are all wearing colorful little knit hats hahahaha. So cute and so silly, total direct hit on my taste⭐ You can even take the hat home if you finish the bottle.

There's also a corner of nostalgic snacks.

The basic side dishes were bean sprout soup, seasoned cabbage, and corn salad. The corn salad was surprisingly delicious.

Andamiro's seafood set meal comes in three sizes.

  • Small set: 59,000 won — sashimi + sea squirt + horned turban shell/sea cucumber + abalone + steamed whole squid + grilled flounder + boiled octopus (East Sea) + boiled deep-sea turban shell + steamed pink scallops
  • Medium set: 79,000 won — small set plus fried shrimp and live octopus
  • Large set: 99,000 won — medium set with more generous portions

Getting this much variety in one set at this price feels like a big advantage.

What comes in the 59,000-won seafood set, red snow crab included

Seafood set piled high in a basket

How is this even called a 'set'? It came out as a huge basket packed full of all kinds of seafood. Even snow crab was included — 59,000 won for this spread is such a steal ♪(´▽`)

Pre-cleaned snow crab served on the table
Snow crab meat and tomalley cleaned for easy eating

I love crab but usually don't reach for it since picking the meat out is such a hassle — but it came pre-cleaned so it was so easy to eat! Just a light touch and the crab meat came right out🧡 The tomalley was nutty with zero fishy taste, so good.

The kimchi pancake disappeared first the moment it hit the table, it was that good haha.

Boiled deep-sea turban shell and octopus sukhoe

The whelk was so fresh that even the innards had zero fishy taste, just nutty and delicious. Both the whelk and octopus sukhoe (boiled and sliced) had a perfectly tender, non-chewy texture — top notch.

Crunchy abalone and sea cucumber

Flounder sashimi included in the Andamiro set

Top pick at Andamiro: the flounder sashimi

My top pick of the day was Andamiro's flounder sashimi. Honestly I didn't expect much since this isn't a dedicated sashimi restaurant, but it was good enough to rival even a proper sashimi place ㅠㅠㅠㅠ Chewy and firm enough to cling to your mouth, with a nutty sweetness..🧡 Genuinely so, so good.

Steamed pink scallops with plump roe

The scallops, so plump and glossy, why are they so gorgeous hahahaha.

The grilled flounder was mild and clean, I kept going back for more.

The horned turban shell's dipping sauce was the real kicker. It went perfectly with the turban shell and honestly with every other seafood too.

We also ordered the seafood ramyeon

It was a bit of a shame there wasn't more broth, but my friend said Andamiro's seafood ramyeon (instant noodle soup) was amazing so we ordered it. Even a plain ramyeon at a bar usually costs 5,000 won, but this had a rich seafood flavor with plenty of shrimp and clams inside. The owner really knows how to cook ramyeon hahahaha. Seasoning was spot on and the noodles had that perfectly chewy texture, so good❤

Is Andamiro worth it? Final verdict

This was my second visit, and it was even more satisfying than the first. Honestly, on my first visit I was too drunk to remember the taste haha.

For this price near the Deuran-gil food alley in Dusan-dong, Suseong-gu, I don't think anywhere else offers such a diverse and fresh seafood spread. It's not just about quantity of items — the snow crab, abalone, whelk, scallops, and even the (so good) sashimi were all top-grade in freshness, so even we, sensitive to fishy tastes, enjoyed every bite. On top of that, the super kind and warm owner made the whole visit enjoyable😘

If you're looking for a great seafood spot in Dusan-dong, Suseong-gu, Daegu, or want to enjoy a wide variety of seafood at an affordable price, I highly recommend <Andamiro>.
