From consultation to finish: how the appointment went

Before starting on my hair, I had a thorough consultation with designer Haneul about what style to go for. She checked the layered look I wanted along with my hair's condition and kept explaining how she'd be cutting it, which is why I ended up so satisfied with the result!

I love making small talk while getting my hair done, and designer Haneul had such a great personality and was so easy to talk to (I don't think it was just me who felt that way haha) that I wasn't bored for a single moment during the whole service.

After applying the chemical solution, she did the heat treatment and continued with the straightening process while checking my hair condition along the way~ Such a meticulous designer Haneul!!!

The Whur sticker they stuck on the bread was so cute haha. I drink iced Americanos every day anyway, but even the iced Americano at a hair salon tasted good haha.

How the hair changed after one clinic treatment

Since my hair condition wasn't great, I also got the clinic treatment done together, and just one session made a huge difference (see the before-and-after photo above) — it really reminded me why you should visit a salon regularly.

First they did the straightening treatment, then moved on to the neutralizer, checking my hair's condition along the way and giving the process plenty of time. Designer Haneul was so thorough throughout that even though it was my first visit to Hair Design Whur, the Yangju Okjeong salon, I could relax through the whole straightening process.

After the neutralizing was done, she gave my hair one more round of treatment care and finally moved on to the long-awaited haircut! I asked for the layered cut I'd always wanted, and by referencing the photos I showed her and adjusting the details to suit my face shape and current hair length, she gave me a haircut I was extremely happy with haha! A layered cut especially can change the whole vibe depending on how far down the layers go, and designer Haneul kept checking in on the look I wanted while cutting, so the result came out very close to what I had in mind!
