After Sunday service, my body felt so bad that I urgently looked for somewhere to go. That's how I ended up at Bodydeem Recovery Body Correction, near Jangsan Station in Haeundae, Busan.
My neck and shoulders are often stiff anyway, but that day the discomfort was especially bad, and I even had a headache. Rather than just going home, I wanted to properly take care of my body. Instead of looking for a plain massage place, I looked for somewhere that could look at both my body shape and how I move, and that's how I found this place.

Why I rushed to Bodydeem in Haeundae after Sunday service
That day, my neck and shoulder tension was worse than usual, so I decided to get body care urgently. After Sunday service, my neck and shoulders felt very heavy.
Moving my body didn't help, and the headache was severe, so I debated whether to just rest or try to loosen things up. Since I usually enjoy exercise and walking, I thought that when my body feels uncomfortable, it's important to check how it's actually moving rather than just resting blindly. So I went looking for a place in Haeundae where I could get both body correction and body care together.
What kind of place is Bodydeem Recovery Body Correction?
Bodydeem doesn't just focus on relaxation — it checks your body's condition and connects it to movement. The program the center introduces runs roughly like this.
BODY CHECK → DEEP RELEASE → BODY CARE → MOVEMENT
First they look at your current posture and movement characteristics, then fully release tension throughout the body, and finally connect body care and movement training tailored to your condition.
What especially caught my attention was that it runs on a 1-on-1 private, appointment-only basis. Rather than several people being managed at once, I expected more careful attention since the focus is on one person's body and movement.

First visit: what happens during Bodydeem's BODY CHECK
The first step wasn't loosening the body right away, but looking at its current state. I was told that because everyone's uncomfortable areas differ depending on lifestyle habits and how they use their body, it's important to first check posture and movement.

I usually just thought, "my neck is stiff" or "my shoulders are tense," but I was reminded that the body doesn't move in isolated parts — everything is connected.

It was also striking that just because my neck and shoulders were uncomfortable, forcefully working only that area wasn't necessarily the right answer.

Full-body DEEP RELEASE using the therapist's feet and body weight
One of Bodydeem's features is the full-body deep release care. They explain that they use their feet and body weight, adjusting pressure and direction according to the body's condition, to release tension throughout the entire body.
What I felt during the treatment was that this is a somewhat different approach from simply pressing hard. Bodydeem's signature full-body DEEP RELEASE, which uses the feet and body weight, doesn't use the feet just to press harder. It delivers pressure over a wide area while adjusting pressure and direction according to the area and the body's condition.
Since everyone's body condition is different, going harder isn't always better. I felt it was more important to look at which area needs what kind of release and manage it with appropriate intensity. If you use your body a lot or sit for long hours, I could see why this kind of full-body approach matters.
BODY CARE: 1-on-1 work on the table to open up range of motion
After fully releasing tension, body care followed, tailored to my individual movement and condition. Even though I visited because of neck and shoulder discomfort, the approach wasn't to focus only on the neck and shoulders — it looked at movement across the whole body.
Being able to talk about the specific tension and movement discomfort I usually feel while receiving care made the experience more comfortable.

When your body is uncomfortable, it's easy to think "only this spot hurts," but in real life, posture and movement habits affect the whole body together. So I felt this approach of looking at body correction and movement together was meaningful. They worked through the whole body one part at a time, starting from the toes.

MOVEMENT: the stretches Bodydeem teaches at the end
What impressed me most was that Bodydeem doesn't stop at just loosening the body. Any questions I had were explained clearly and in an easy-to-understand way, which was even better.
After the care session, they go through the movements and stretches your body currently needs, or teach you helpful stretches. This part personally appealed to me. Feeling temporarily relaxed after a session matters, but it's also necessary to learn how to move your body in everyday life.
Bodydeem also connects care and exercise under the direction of "release deeply, move properly." For someone like me who walks and exercises regularly, learning how to move my body comfortably felt more helpful than simple rest.
What I liked about the session at Bodydeem
What I liked most was that they don't treat care and exercise as separate things. If you only get loosening care, it feels refreshing in the moment, but if your lifestyle and movement habits stay the same, the discomfort can come back. On the other hand, exercising hard alone doesn't make every movement comfortable either.
So Bodydeem approaches things with a flow of checking body condition → release → body care → movement training. That day, I received full-body circulation body care, using the feet's broad contact surface to deliver gradual pressure to large soft tissue areas, along with focused range-of-motion and movement care for the shoulders and neck.
The center also introduces its director as holding a physical therapist license and a background in sports science, with over 10 years of experience in body correction and movement-related work, which helped me understand the center's direction of connecting body correction with exercise.
Who Bodydeem Recovery is right for
If any of the following apply to you, it might be worth getting a consultation and BODY CHECK.
- People who repeatedly feel stiff and heavy in the body
- People who sit for long hours or stay in one posture most of the day
- People who want to check their own posture and movement habits
- People who want to fully relax while also learning stretches
- People concerned about turtle neck or a rounded back
- People who feel discomfort in shoulder and arm movement
- People who want to manage back and pelvic balance
- People who prefer 1-on-1 care over one-size-fits-all treatment
That said, if you have severe or persistent headaches or pain, it's best not to rely on body care alone — seeing a medical professional should come first if needed. I should also mention that this visit is purely my own personal experience.
Overall verdict on Bodydeem Recovery
It was a rushed visit, but what stayed with me was that it didn't stop at simply loosening the body. I went in with severe neck and shoulder tension and a headache after Sunday service, and I was impressed that instead of jumping straight into treatment, they first looked at my posture and movement before connecting release, body care, and movement.
The clear process of BODY CHECK → DEEP RELEASE → BODY CARE → MOVEMENT made it easy even for a first-time visitor to understand how the care would proceed. Since I like walking and exercising, I paid extra attention, and I came away thinking that understanding how you use your body matters just as much as exercising a lot.
The thorough explanations put me at ease. If you're someone whose body is often stiff but who wants more than just a strong massage — someone who wants to check their own movement and learn care and exercise together — this place would suit you well.
