Hi, this is the Daegu wanderer. This is finally the last post from my time at my sister's place in Cheonan..! Every time I visit her, 2-3 days just fly by haha. I think it's because of my cute niece, and being with family in a new environment. This time, since I was already visiting, I thought — let's go to a famous restaurant while we're at it! So I looked around and found a jjajangmyeon (black bean noodle) spot in Cheonan that was super close by! It was Lala Dragon! My sister's couple and I called ahead to book, then headed over!

Where is 24-Hour Lala Dragon Cheonan Ssangyong Branch?

Lala Dragon, this Cheonan jjajangmyeon spot, is open every day of the year, and it's really close to Ssangyong Station on Line 1! I didn't get a photo of the parking area, but there's underground parking so anyone driving doesn't need to worry about where to park. There's also a kids' menu, baby chairs, and wheelchair access, so it's easy to use comfortably!

Inside Lala Dragon: baby chairs and kid-friendly extras

Dining hall interior with wide spacing between seats

Overall the dining hall was clean and spacious, and most of all, the space between tables was really wide. Near the entrance there was a table dedicated to takeout and delivery orders, set up so pickup customers or delivery riders could grab their food easily.

I also spotted baby chairs, and there was baby dishware at the self-serve bar, so families with babies might find this useful. Solo dining is possible too, and there are group tables, so I thought it'd be a good fit for families.

Lala Dragon menu and prices

Now for the most important part — the menu at this Cheonan jjajangmyeon spot! There were mostly set menus, for 2 people, 3 people, and so on, plus individual dishes divided into jjajang (black bean sauce noodles), rice dishes, and cooked dishes. Prices were reasonable, and we ordered a set menu.

Wow, doesn't it look delicious just looking at it? My brother-in-law asked for one to be made as spicy pepper jjajang, and when it arrived, a sharp spicy aroma hit us right away — they'd loaded it up with cheongyang chili peppers!

I was a bit surprised at the look of it at first, but I think anyone who likes spicy-and-savory flavors would be fine with it. The sweet and sour pork comes as the glutinous rice version, and they give you a generous portion! They also serve salt dip, basic sauce, and mayo sauce — the batter was super thin and chewy, so it went well paired with the different sauces!

And the jjajangmyeon sauce itself wasn't overpowering, packed generously with vegetables and meat, so it was great mixed together. The noodles seemed handmade too — they were super chewy!

We also added crab fried rice, and the texture was super soft — the crab, egg, and chunjang (black bean sauce) went really well together! My niece ate it up 😁

A free cola from Lala Dragon's review event

And cola, which feels like such a waste to pay for yourself, haha — they happened to be running a review event, so as soon as I saw it I told the staff and joined right away! If you visit here, definitely join in too!

2 hours of free parking and plum tea after the meal

When you eat at this Cheonan jjajangmyeon spot, you can use 2 hours of free parking, and there's cool plum tea at the entrance counter too, which felt great as a palate cleanser after the meal! It was pleasantly sweet and refreshing!

Is Lala Dragon worth it for a family meal in Cheonan?

Oh man, we really ate like it was a battle haha. The portions were huge, and above all the food quality and menu composition were great, so it was perfect for a cozy family meal. With baby chairs and baby dishware too, families with kids should find it a bit more comfortable! How about heading here for a family meal this coming weekend or Chuseok?!
