Famous Benny Gwangalli Branch is a brunch café open from 8am, so it was great to visit early in the morning 💛💛 I found it while looking for a café that opens early in Gwangalli!

It also seemed like a good spot to grab brunch after a Gwangalli walk or a run along the Gwangalli running course. If you're someone who wants a delicious brunch first thing in the morning like us, this place is worth keeping in mind ☺️

Famous Benny Gwangalli Branch 📍 64 Minnakbondong-ro 11beon-gil, Suyeong-gu, Busan, 1st and 2nd floors. It's set slightly inland from Gwangalli Beach in Minnak-dong, a brunch café using both the 1st and 2nd floors.

It's a solid location for anyone looking for a good brunch café near Gwangalli, or for people in Minnak-dong wanting a relaxed meal.

The exterior is a gray two-story building, giving it an overall clean and modern feel 🤍🤍

Wood-toned interior, two floors of seating and baby chairs

Walking in, the wood-toned interior was the first thing that caught my eye. The overall atmosphere was warm and stylish, making it a nice place to spend time relaxing over brunch.

The natural sunlight coming in was especially pretty ☺️ During the day, the sunlight pours into the space and makes the mood even warmer 💛💛

Besides the 1st floor, there's also a 2nd floor space, so it felt more spacious than expected — good for brunch with friends or as a Minnak-dong date spot. Baby chairs are also available, making it easy to visit with kids 🐥🐥 If you're looking for a place to eat with your child in Gwangalli, this is worth checking too.

Famous Benny had a more varied brunch menu than I expected. Signature dishes include The Famous Benny, bacon scramble toast, ham cheese toast, French toast, acai bowl, and various toasts and soups. Alongside the brunch menu, there's also coffee and juice, so it was easy to pick something to suit your taste ☺️☺️

What we ordered for an 8am breakfast

We ordered a variety of things that day.

First up, bacon scramble toast! Soft scrambled eggs and bacon on top made it hearty and satisfying. Perfect for when something too heavy feels like too much for breakfast, but just bread alone isn't quite enough.

The combo of bread, egg and bacon is easy for anyone to enjoy, and true to a brunch dish, it was nicely plated and looked great in photos 💛💛

Ham cheese toast

Next, ham cheese toast! A classic combo of ham and cheese, so it's hard to go wrong with this one. If it's your first time trying brunch, a basic dish like this is a good place to start.

Acai bowl

And one of the dishes I was most looking forward to — the acai bowl! So many people love acai bowls these days, haha. It was fresh and light, and paired nicely alongside the toasts. If the toast felt hearty, the acai bowl was the refreshing counterpart to go with it!

Drinks: iced Americano and apple carrot juice

For drinks, we ordered two iced Americanos and an apple carrot juice. The iced Americano was tasty, and the apple carrot juice had a healthy flavor.

Is Famous Benny worth it for morning brunch in Gwangalli?

Overall, the food and the space's atmosphere went well together, and I especially liked being able to enjoy a relaxed brunch from the morning 👍👍 It would be great after taking in the sea view in Gwangalli, or after running the Gwangalli running course in the morning and wanting a hearty meal.

If you're planning a date around Minnak-dong, it's a nice addition to the course since it's a Minnak-dong brunch café where you can actually eat, not just a coffee-only café. And best of all, it opens early in the morning 💛💛 If you're looking for a place for morning brunch in Gwangalli, this is a place worth visiting at least once ☺️
