Looking for somewhere to grab good food and a relaxed drink after work in Guro Digital Complex, I stopped by Monthly Beer Guro Digital Complex Station Branch. It's tucked inside the Guro food alley, surrounded by plenty of restaurants and bars, so it's an easy spot to set as a meeting place.

The handmade pastry pizza in particular really stood out haha — it had a quality that rivaled an Italian restaurant, and I was genuinely impressed while eating 👍

Truffle mayo gimbugak: how does it hold up as a beer snack?

First, to cool off with a drink, we ordered beer and soju. The complimentary side snack was a familiar brand, nice to nibble on one by one while waiting for the food.

We ordered the truffle mayo gimbugak (crispy fried seaweed chips) first. Gimbugak can easily turn soggy or greasy if done wrong, but this batch was fried crisp, giving a light texture from the very first bite. It went perfectly with beer!

The thin, crunchy gimbugak has its own savory, salty flavor, and pairing it with the truffle-scented mayo sauce worked better than I expected 👍

Even just looking at it, the dough seemed baked in crisp, multiple layers — and one bite confirmed it, with a crunchy surface and a nutty, flaky pastry-like texture inside.

With pizza, if the dough is too thick or heavy, you can feel full after just a couple of slices — but this pastry-style dough made it relatively light to eat.

The cheese stretches so well haha — freshly made pizza needs no explanation, it's just delicious 🐥

Add the salty pepperoni and savory cheese, and it turned into a great match for beer.

The pizza itself felt more like a shared drinking snack than a full meal — a slice-per-person style that suits a group enjoying pizza and beer together in Guro.

This was my first time trying Tera Zero, and it turned out to mix surprisingly well as somaek. Zero calories too, so it's easy to drink freely 👍
