Apgujeong nail salon beige one-color after gel removal: Naeil Didi

I got a beige one-color gel manicure at Naeil Didi, a nail salon in Apgujeong Rodeo. Apparently the trend in Gangnam's Apgujeong these days isn't flashy nails piled with parts, but nails that look clear and healthy on their own! Beige especially!

I wanted that polished look for myself too, so I headed to Naeil Didi in Apgujeong Rodeo. I was so happy with the result — here's my full review!

Where is Naeil Didi and is there parking? (4 minutes from Apgujeong Rodeo Station)

Naeil Didi is at 18 Apgujeong-ro 50-gil, 6F Unit 601, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, open daily from 11:00 to 21:00. It sits right on the main Apgujeong Rodeo street, so it's really easy to find! Only a 4-minute walk from Apgujeong Rodeo Station — best access ever.

You can valet park in front of the building. If you tell them your plate number when booking, they'll register your car ahead of time. Valet costs ₩5,000.

Finding the Naeil Didi building

The building has 'Apgujeong Gogitjip' in big letters on the ground floor, so it's easy to spot from a distance. Just take the elevator up. They use two floors together — 5F Naeil Didi Suite and 6F Naeil Didi. The Suite and the regular location are the same salon, just different interiors.

Inside Naeil Didi: bright and open

The 5F Naeil Didi Suite is bright and clean, pure and simple! Sunlight pours in through the floor-to-ceiling windows — the kind of place that feels healing just by sitting there!

The 6F Naeil Didi is arranged in an all-white tone overall, giving it a really hygienic, clean feel!

Besides the manicure seats, there are also cushy sofa chairs where you can sit comfortably for a pedicure.

How does Naeil Didi remove thick gel art?

My session at Naeil Didi started with removing the thick gel art I'd had done last time. Honestly, you always worry the nail underneath will get damaged or thin during removal, right? But they used a special drill that never touched my actual nail, just gently ground away the gel art layered on top. No pain at all, completely clean removal.

Basic care and cuticle grooming

They shaped my nails to the length and shape I wanted, making them look pretty

and carefully cleaned up the cuticles and any hard skin around my nails. I had an inflamed spot from picking at a hangnail next to my nail — they even disinfected it and applied medicine, then worked around that spot so it never hurt at all.

Base coat, then thin layers of beige gel

Once the care was finished, they applied and cured a base coat so the gel lasts longer, then layered on the beige color thin, multiple times. I've heard applying gel thin is a sign of real skill, and they really did apply it thin and evenly, with such care.

My nails are on the thin side, so curing under the gel lamp always feels a little hot — but they pre-cured briefly under a mini lamp before putting my hand in the main lamp, so it wasn't hot at all and felt comfortable the whole time.

When it was done and I looked at my hands, they had exactly the luxurious, clean, natural look I wanted — so satisfying!

It's such a shame photos and videos can't fully capture the real-life clear shine! It looks even better in person, trust me!

The clear gel shine is genuinely pretty. Under lighting or sunlight, every time I move my hand it glistens like glass, all plump and glossy — I couldn't stop looking at it!

Thanks to the round, polished shape they gave my nails, my fingers look so much longer! And since the beige blends softly with my skin tone, my whole hand feels brighter!

Beige nails go with everything, from tidy outfits to casual ones! They give off that not-overly-done but somehow polished-to-the-fingertips, well-cared-for-person vibe — so satisfying!
