Sindorim restaurant with unlimited banchan: spicy kalguksu bossam set
In short
Sindorim Sambaekga is a Korean restaurant on Gyeongin-ro near Sindorim Station in Guro, Seoul, serving bossam (boiled pork wraps) and jokbal (braised pig's trotters) with kalguksu (knife-cut noodle soup) as one set. Three of us ordered the medium bossam set at 42,000 won, upsized it to the large set at 51,000 won for 9,000 won more, and paid 1,000 won extra to switch to spicy kalguksu. Between the mild bossam, the spicy noodles and unlimited side dish refills, there was plenty for three people to share.

If you're looking for a hearty meal in Sindorim, I want to recommend Sambaekga, where you can enjoy bossam and kalguksu together!! Three of us ate the bossam and kalguksu set at Sindorim Sambaekga, and the portions were so generous and the combination of food so good that I was really satisfied 🤍🤍
With clean, savory bossam and hot, spicy kalguksu together, my hand just kept reaching for more. Since it's a set menu, you're not stuck with just one dish — you get to enjoy both meat and noodles, which made me think it'd be great for a Sindorim lunch or a Sindorim gathering spot. 👍 If you're looking for a good Korean restaurant near Sindorim Station, I'd say the bossam-kalguksu combo at Sambaekga is worth trying as your go-to Sindorim restaurant pick.

What the Sindorim Sambaekga bossam kalguksu set costs and includes
The bossam kalguksu set at Sindorim Sambaekga is ₩42,000 as a medium, or ₩51,000 if you upgrade to large. We ordered this bossam and kalguksu set that day, and since you can upgrade to large for an extra charge, we went for it since there were three of us and we wanted to eat a bit more generously. Haha. The upgrade from medium to large cost an extra ₩9,000, and for three people to share, the large was definitely a satisfying amount!

And the kalguksu wasn't just the basic version — you could switch to spicy kalguksu. The spicy upgrade was an extra ₩1,000. Personally, I think that choice was so worth it!! Bossam has a clean, savory flavor, while spicy kalguksu is hot and fiery — the two filled in exactly what the other was missing. 😋
How mild is the sambaek bossam at Sindorim Sambaekga?
Sambaekga's bossam felt a little different from ordinary bossam. It's called sambaek bossam, made with pork raised on Sangju persimmons and pork belly seasoned with mulberry leaves — a favorite of silkworms — for a healthy, deep flavor, according to the restaurant. Trying it myself, the meat felt clean and mild with no gamey smell at all!!

Bossam can easily turn greasy, but Sambaekga's version was savory without being heavy, so I just kept eating it.
The pairing with the homemade persimmon salad that came with it was especially good. According to the restaurant, they use a traditional family recipe with ripe persimmon for a gentle sweetness, made fresh daily!! 🤤

The salad wasn't too sharp — it had a gentle sweetness and crunch that went really well with the bossam. Putting a piece of the salad on top of a slice of meat made for a combo I couldn't stop eating!!
Spicy handmade kalguksu with the bossam: is the 1,000 won upgrade worth it?
One of the combinations I was most satisfied with that day was Sambaekga's spicy kalguksu. Since bossam is a clean, mild dish, I initially thought the basic kalguksu would be fine, but switching to spicy for an extra ₩1,000 was a genius move. Haha.

Handmade kalguksu with a rich yet clean broth simmered carefully from 12 quality ingredients, plus 100% fresh noodles for a springy, chewy texture!! The broth was deep and clean, so I kept spooning it up. ㅠㅠ 🫠🫠 The warm broth in particular went so well with the savoriness of the bossam. Eating a bite of meat, then a spoonful of kalguksu broth, then back to the bossam — that flow was really great. Haha.

If you're looking for a good kalguksu spot in Sindorim, I'd recommend enjoying it together with the bossam set. It makes for a much more filling and satisfying meal than kalguksu alone! 🤗🤗
The jokbal recipe developed with a Josun Hotel chef
Sindorim Sambaekga also runs a jokbal menu alongside its bossam. It's introduced as jokbal on another level, the result of extensive research and trial and error by a Josun Hotel chef. We had bossam this visit, but it made me want to try the jokbal next time too. Many places sell bossam and jokbal together, but Sambaekga felt like it put care into every single menu item!

So it seems like a great fit for anyone looking for a Sindorim jokbal-bossam restaurant. Since it's meat-focused, it's good to pair with drinks, but also comfortable as a full meal, making it a solid option for a Sindorim bar visit or a Sindorim work dinner!!
Inside Sindorim Sambaekga: the dining room and the unlimited side dishes
The food at Sindorim Sambaekga was great, but I also liked the interior atmosphere. 💗💗 It was managed cleanly overall, so I could eat comfortably.

For a Korean restaurant, it's not just about the main dish — the basic side dishes and the overall atmosphere matter too, and Sambaekga was satisfying there as well. The side dishes served with the bossam felt carefully made, one by one, and paired well with the main food.

Eating just meat can get a little greasy, but with the persimmon salad and other banchan alongside, I could keep eating happily until the end. All the banchan are unlimited refills, by the way~~ And at the end, they had peach juice ready for us as we left.

It felt like they thought all the way through to the end of the meal, which was nice. It's a small thing, but touches like this really make the visit feel better!
Why Sindorim Sambaekga works for group dinners near Sindorim Station
I felt like Sambaekga is a good place to visit as a couple, but also works well for a bigger group. Just like our group of three eating the set menu, the portions were plenty, and the menu itself seems to have broad appeal, making it a good fit for group gatherings.

Dishes like bossam and jokbal are great for sharing among a group. So it could be a solid choice when looking for a Sindorim gathering spot or a Sindorim work dinner venue. Haha. The interior is also clean, so it felt comfortable for a family meal or a get-together with friends too~~ 🫡🫡 If you want a quieter meal, some people look for a Sindorim room-style bar or private-room gathering spot, but Sambaekga also had a comfortable atmosphere for dining! 👍
Final verdict on the bossam kalguksu set at Sindorim Sambaekga
Based on my own experience eating there, the biggest strength of Sindorim Sambaekga was being able to enjoy bossam and kalguksu together.
- Clean, savory bossam
- Spicy, hot kalguksu
- Crunchy, gently sweet persimmon salad
- A clean, well-managed interior
- A hearty set composition
- Portions generous enough for three to share

These were the parts I found satisfying. In particular, the bossam and kalguksu combination was even better than I expected!! 😳😳 Eating just meat can feel a little heavy, but having the warm broth alongside meant I could keep enjoying it right to the end. Haha.
I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a hearty Korean meal near Sindorim Station, or searching for a good Sindorim lunch spot. If you're searching for kalguksu near Sindorim Station and end up here, I think you'll be just as satisfied trying the bossam set alongside it. 👍👍👍
