With my studio shoot coming right up, I went to ONLY FOR YOU Hannam Main Branch for the must-do wedding dye job. ONLY FOR YOU Hannam Main Branch is a hair salon in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, on the 3rd floor of 70 Dokseodang-ro, less than a 10-minute walk from Hannam Station.

My studio shoot is seriously right around the corner now...!! There's so much to do — shoot concepts, hair changes — but the essential one was the wedding dye. This would be my first dye job ever, and doing it at some random neighborhood place felt like a recipe for disaster, so I booked ONLY FOR YOU Hannam branch, known for wedding dyes 😀

It's under a 10-minute walk from Hannam Station! Staying open until 10pm is a huge plus,,

Get off the elevator on the 3rd floor and the entrance is right there, with a price list for each treatment posted up front. Like with restaurants, I really appreciate being able to check prices before walking in.

Inside ONLY FOR YOU Hannam Main Branch: interior and seating

The inside of ONLY FOR YOU Hannam Main Branch was spacious with plenty of treatment seats. I booked for around 5:30pm and there were still a lot of people getting services done. Definitely a popular Hannam-dong salon — I booked it in a rush but I think I really lucked out haha. I also saw a hair salon use kiosk payment for the first time ever!

Consultation with head designer Bandal: which color was chosen?

Before the dye, head designer Bandal gave me a pre-consultation and we settled on a level-7-ish ash brown to silver brown. And here's the wild part — I hadn't requested a specific designer, but after reading a bunch of reviews I'd been hoping to get Bandal...?! And by some miracle, I got Bandal! Lol, such a lucky girl, I almost cried.

I dyed my hair once at age 20 with a color that had too much yellow in it, it went horribly wrong, and I had to cover it up within 1–2 weeks. I hadn't touched dye since then, so honestly I had no idea what to expect. But the moment I said 'wedding dye,' the designer immediately started recommending options, and we went with a level-7-ish ash brown to silver brown.

Surprisingly, there was another separate space too! It was right next to the first entrance.

Before the dye: how damaged was the hair?

Okay, time to show you the before shots (warning: rough hair ahead)

Yeah... pretty badly damaged, right? Haha. My last hair clinic treatment was probably a year to a year and a half ago. Such a neglectful bride-to-be :) We decided to keep the length for the shoot, and interestingly, the color near the ends had already faded a bit, so she said she'd help match the rest to blend with that.

You can even order drinks by QR code at ONLY FOR YOU Hannam Main Branch! Wait, is it even allowed to have this many menu options at a hair salon...? They even had snacks like hotteok (sweet Korean pancake) and toast. It's love. Ordered an iced americano and honey hotteok for this hungry office worker.

My designer is the 'Hannam-dong hair salon dye specialist, head designer Bandal' 🥰 She applied the dye so meticulously, from root to root, not missing a single spot. I had zero worry about patchy results.

How long the dye took, plus the full-body massage shampoo chair

After wrapping, she added a bit more dye to finish it off! Her hands were so fast — the whole thing was done in under an hour, seriously the best🥹 Then came the hair wash, and this massage chair — what even is this, I'm so happy right now haha.

The entire time I was getting my hair washed, I wanted to say 'yes,, this is paradise..' She even gave me a little scalp massage — pure bliss.

And then the finishing blow-dry! Not pictured, but she even used one of those trendy standing dryers, so the whole drying process went by at lightning speed haha!!

Ta-da~ here's the after. How great is this? My rough hair is improved and the color is so pretty! This is exactly the shade that looks natural and shows off the hair texture under studio lighting~~ Best of all, being able to pull off this ash brown/silver brown look without any bleach felt amazing. Both my designer and I were thrilled with the final result haha.
