Getting there from Singeumho Station

Toro With Geek Singeumho Branch is a 4-minute walk from Exit 5 of Singeumho Station! Just follow the road and the salon comes into view on the 2nd floor 👀 Isn't a salon close to the station the best haha! Plus, since guys apparently come back monthly, accessibility matters even more.

Following the road, it's right above a churro shop! The entrance is on the left side in the photo.

Cut + down perm before and after

Since this is a salon review, let me start with the before/after photos!

My partner only got a trim and a down perm! Doesn't it look completely different even though it was just a down perm..? Overall so much neater 👀 This is why you have to go to a place that's actually good at hair 🥹

Actually, he went in wanting a perm, but designer Loco said it wasn't recommended since his hair was short..! I liked that they don't just do whatever you ask for — they give their honest opinion based on your hair condition 👍🏼 Let's get into the detailed review.

Interior and waiting area

The interior has this kind of vibe. The metal-accented, black-toned look felt a bit hip 👀 The moment I saw the interior I had a feeling his hair was going to turn out great haha.

And the floor-to-ceiling windows give it such an open feel! No stuffiness at all, which made it even better.

There were also simple snacks, water, drinks, and phone chargers available. Having these little things while waiting meant the wait never felt boring 🤩 Being able to freely charge your phone during the service is a nice touch too.

They checked his head shape and hair condition before suggesting the service. This is where designer Loco's thoroughness really showed!

Before

This is the before state! His hair was a bit frizzy and the sideburn area had grown out a lot. Seen from the front, it looks pretty shaggy around the ears too — and with the wavy texture, it feels even frizzier, right..?

The down perm process

Even mid-service, the designer kept explaining what he was doing! Designer Loco was so thorough and detailed with everything 👀

After applying the down perm solution, he does heat treatment!

Then after shampooing and neutralizing, he trims everything neatly!

And here's the finished result! Compared to before, doesn't it look completely neat and calm now..? Such a simple service but the whole vibe changed! His hands moved so fast and yet he was so thorough, which is probably why it came out looking so polished 👍🏼👍🏼 And because he worked so quickly, the time really flew by!
