Sinsa seafood restaurant, Monday-night reservation: Parang Haenyeojip
In short
Parang Haenyeojip Sinsa Direct Store is a seafood restaurant a 5-minute walk from Sinsa Station, near Garosugil in Gangnam, Seoul. The writer booked through Naver Reservation for 6:30 on a Monday evening and shared the signature haenyeo box (60,000 won on the tablet order screen) with her boyfriend: sea squirt, octopus, flounder, salmon, red seabream, abalone, steamed clams and futomaki, all fresh with no fishy taste. Every table was full by 7pm, so Parang Haenyeojip is worth reserving if you are coming at peak time.

Last Monday evening, I had a really pleasant drink with fresh seafood with my boyfriend at Parang Haenyeojip Sinsa Direct Store. My boyfriend, who loves seafood, did some digging and found this place while searching for seafood restaurants in Sinsa-dong.

Parang Haenyeojip Sinsa Direct Store: hours and how to get there
Hours
- Sun–Thu: 16:00–1:30 (last order 00:30)
- Fri–Sat: 16:00–2:00 (last order 01:00)
We went for a first-round dinner, but since it's open so late, it would work great for a second or third round too. The location was also really convenient — just a 5-minute walk from Sinsa Station.
Monday evening: is there a wait, and how does Naver Reservation work?

When we arrived at 6:30 on Monday evening, there wasn't an immediate wait, but the place was already buzzing with customers. We had made a Naver reservation ahead of time, and when we walked in, staff kindly showed us to our reserved table under our name haha. Being seated right away was so convenient.
Especially seeing the place fill up completely just past 7pm made me really glad we'd reserved. The system works well, so it feels like the perfect restaurant to book ahead for occasions where you really need a table. If you're visiting during peak hours, I'd definitely recommend using Naver Reservation to be safe!
What Parang Haenyeojip feels like inside

As soon as we got close, Parang Haenyeojip's white walls and cute blue sign caught my eye.
What struck me the moment I walked in was a huge wave video projected large on the wall. It created such a refreshing, moody atmosphere!! The interior was kept very clean overall. With comfy sofa seats and chairs well set up, it was perfect for chatting over drinks.
Looking at the crowd, there were a lot of office workers from nearby who'd come by after work! Everyone was relaxed, chatting while enjoying delicious seafood snacks with a drink. It felt like a great space to enjoy tasty food comfortably in a clean setting.

Every table had an ordering pad installed, which was really convenient for placing extra orders comfortably.
What's on the menu at Parang Haenyeojip

Slowly browsing the menu on the order pad, the lineup was far more varied than I expected. As a seafood specialty spot, prices and options shift a bit depending on the season, and apparently today's prices can be checked on Naver Place! When we visited, gizzard shad sashimi was also on the menu!!!

Beyond the signature haenyeo box or the assorted sashimi platter, there were so many categories great for a meal or for pairing with drinks.
- Hot pots: Yeonpyeong-do water dropwort blue crab roe hot pot, whole whelk hot pot, seafood tteokbokki, and more
- Meals/noodles: king haenyeo gimbap (futomaki), hangover clam kalguksu, spicy seafood ramyeon, savory perilla oil naengmyeon
- Single seafood dishes: scallop sashimi, sea squirt, abalone sashimi, live octopus, and more
Alongside the main dishes perfect for filling up on a first round, there were also plenty of simple, easy-to-pick single seafood items and side dishes ideal for a second round when you're already fairly full — it really seemed great as a second-round drinking spot too.

The drink lineup was just as varied, with regular soju and beer of course, but also the clean Ilpum Jinro, Hwayo, sake, wine, and even fruit sawa — great for pairing with seafood however you like.

They're currently running a review event too, so if you love drinking, try joining in haha. Corkage is also allowed, and they said they give you a small side dish per bottle!!!
The 60,000 won haenyeo box: an honest review for two

Before the main dish arrives, seaweed (ggosillae, miyeok) and a warm seaweed soup are set to whet your appetite. Dipping the chewy seaweed in vinegar-chili sauce and having some warm seaweed soup was perfect for settling your stomach before drinking!!

The outdoor sign listed it as ₩62,000, but when we ordered on the tablet it showed ₩60,000! It said the haenyeo box takes about 20 minutes to prepare!

We waited patiently for 20 minutes, but it actually came out faster than expected!! The haenyeo box looked exactly like the picture on the menu screen — packed full. A big box arrived stuffed with seafood, making both my boyfriend and me instinctively grab our cameras. It included sea squirt, octopus, flounder, salmon, red seabream, abalone, futomaki, and steamed clams.

Abalone and steamed clams
Even I, who usually doesn't eat clams much, ate them happily since they were cooked clean and soft with no gamy or fishy taste. The abalone was also boiled tender and delicious!

Sea squirt, octopus, flounder, salmon and red seabream
Sea squirt & octopus: My boyfriend, who really loves sea squirt, was thrilled after just one bite hahaha. It burst with ocean flavor without any fishy taste. The boiled octopus wasn't tough at all either — very soft with a great chewy texture.
Flounder, salmon: They had that melt-in-your-mouth texture like aged sashimi — delicious!!!
Red seabream: The seabream had a bit more bite to it, which I liked haha.

Futomaki (thick seaweed rice roll)
We were told it was already seasoned, so I tried it with just a bit of wasabi on top! The large futomaki had fillings packed in far more generously than the rice, so each bite delivered a great mix of textures and flavors!!
Final verdict — would return ★★★★★
If you love seafood, this is a place you absolutely won't regret!!!
- Location & access: 5-minute walk from Sinsa Station! Ideal route for a Sinsa-dong or Garosugil dinner date
- Reservations: convenient Naver Reservation system
- Atmosphere: refreshing wave visuals, clean and tidy interior, comfortable seating for lingering

Since the menu changes with the seasons, this is also a great spot if you're looking for a seasonal Sinsa-dong menu or a Garosugil yellowtail restaurant. If you're near Sinsa Station looking for a great date or work dinner spot, I recommend Parang Haenyeojip Sinsa Direct Store~!
