The vibe here was really great today — this Bangi-dong restaurant, across from Olympic Park, is perfect for a date too. So many people were here for company dinners as well, so it's a great spot for that too!

Beer garden downstairs, quiet seats upstairs: the mood at Hope So

The weather's been so nice lately. They've set it up with that outdoor beer-garden feel, haha?? If you're looking for an outdoor beer spot near Olympic Park or in Bangi-dong, having a beer here would be great.

Hope So has a 2nd floor, and they said if you reserve, they'll give you a better table 🫶 Oh, and even though I went on a weekday, I was surprised how packed the downstairs was in the evening!

This is the 2nd floor vibe. If you want that outdoor beer-garden feel, go downstairs; if you want to drink beer in a nicer atmosphere, I'd recommend the 2nd floor!
What's on the Hope So menu and how much it costs

- Pilsner Urquell / Goose IPA / Asahi – ₩9,000
- Stella / Paulaner Weissbier – ₩8,000
- Cass 500 – ₩5,000
- Margherita / Gorgonzola / Diavola – ₩22,000
- Gambas Pasta / Gamberoni Rosé / Carbonara / Cream Jjamppong – ₩19,000
- Karaage & Fries / Buffalo Wings & Fries – ₩24,000
What we ordered that day: buffalo wings & fries ₩24,000, Cass ₩5,000, Kozel Dark ₩8,000, Paulaner Weissbier ₩8,000.
Complimentary pretzels and a 5,000 won Cass draft

These salty pretzels! This is the house snack.
Cass, ₩5,000. Of course you start with Cass. Honestly I wasn't that hungry that day so I thought I'd try a bunch of beers, but since I've got basic tastebuds, I think Cass might actually be the tastiest to me, haha.

So cold and that foam was totally creamy and so delicious?💕 Draft beer really is best served ice-cold! The carbonation was alive too! A total draft beer spot.

Buffalo wings & fries for 24,000 won: worth it as a beer snack?
Hope So's buffalo wings & fries are ₩24,000. We ordered this must-win menu as both a snack and a meal! If you like buffalo wings, this is highly recommended!

This pairs so well with beer, right? Salty~ and those jalapeños are seriously spicy and so tasty. Those alone would be a complete beer snack.

I like that there are two kinds of fries — these Cajun fries and actual raw potato chips — dipped in ketchup, so delicious.

I love wings like this — eating them with beer, the saltiness and umami just melt away and they keep going down easy.

These jalapeños! Put them on top of a wing and it cleans up the flavor nicely, so good! There really are a lot of great beer-snack options here.

Paulaner Weissbier and Kozel Dark at 8,000 won each
I was curious after hearing there's a banana aroma, so I ordered this beer too! I guess I'm reviewing beer as someone who doesn't really know beer, haha. But whatever I say is tasty, most of you will probably like too.
Paulaner Weissbier ₩8,000, Kozel Dark ₩8,000. I don't know beer that well, but none of what I ordered had a strong smell or taste, so it's something anyone could drink, and I think it would pair really well with pizza.
No room for pizza, but Hope So still works as a second-round bar
Hope So is famous as a pizza restaurant in Bangi-dong, so even though we were full, we debated trying the pizza but couldn't manage it, ㅜ. It seems like a great place for a light beer too, and if you're looking for a good date spot near Olympic Park, it's great for a second round — recommended as a second-round bar in Bangi-dong!
