Today I visited Boksakkot Pineun Jip Daejeon Branch, a webfoot octopus spot near Sutonggol. When you order the octopus, you get pizza on the side too, and after the meal you can hang out at the café for free — so it's a great place to cover a full meal plus dessert in one stop. Here's my honest review!

Boksakkot Pineun Jip Daejeon Branch is located near Sutonggol. Surrounded by nature, the air was fresh, and I felt good on the way there already :)
Right in front of the restaurant there's also a spacious café you can use for free after eating. It looked like a good spot to relax with a coffee after a meal.

There's also a big parking lot for about 40 cars, so it was convenient to visit by car!
Big waiting area, group tables, and a kids' room
Coming inside, the spacious waiting area near the entrance stood out right away. There were plenty of other visitors too, so you could really tell this is a popular spot :)
The restaurant itself was really spacious and comfortable. There's plenty of seating, and group seating is set up separately, so it looked good for family gatherings or hanging out with friends.
There's also a kids' room, so families visiting with children can eat comfortably too!

What's in the fire-grilled octopus set for two at ₩33,800
The menu had a wide range of dishes, from stir-fried webfoot octopus to jeyuk (spicy stir-fried pork), stir-fried octopus, hot pot, and braised beef short ribs. Ordering the set menu for 2 or more gets you pizza, salad, and mukbap (acorn jelly soup) plus coffee, so the value looked really good. I went with the signature fire-grilled webfoot octopus stir-fry set!
- Fire-grilled webfoot octopus stir-fry set for two ₩33,800
- Fried king shrimp ₩9,000

First came the basic side dishes: radish pickle, japchae (glass noodle stir-fry), yeolmu kimchi (young radish kimchi), and bean sprouts, all neatly arranged. The yeolmu kimchi was especially good — crisp and refreshing, I kept reaching for it :)

The mukbap and salad that came with it were also cool and refreshing, pairing nicely with the main dish.

Self-serve corner and unlimited soft drinks
The self-serve corner had seaweed soup, rice, and sungnyung (scorched rice tea) in addition to the basic sides, so I could help myself as much as I wanted.

Soft drinks were also unlimited, which was great — no need to order extra drinks, I could just enjoy them freely!

The serving robot brings the octopus and pizza to the table
A bit later, the food came out — and a robot brought it straight to the table, which added a fun, novel touch :)

And just like that, the table was loaded up with octopus and pizza.

You could smell the subtle smoky fire flavor right away — the octopus was packed generously with all kinds of vegetables, making it look even more appetizing.
The webfoot octopus stir-fry comes with a bowl of rice, lettuce, and dried seaweed flakes. You pile the octopus on top and mix it all up :)

Too spicy? Mix in the bean sprouts
If the spice feels a bit much, mix in some bean sprouts. Their crunch helps tone down the heat and makes it easier to enjoy.
I took a big bite of the well-mixed octopus rice bowl — the spicy-sweet sauce combined with that subtle smoky flavor really won me over! The plump octopus and crunchy vegetables together made for great texture, and it was really delicious.

Free pepperoni pizza and fried king shrimp at ₩9,000
Next up was the pepperoni pizza. It was hard to believe it's included for free — loaded with cheese and good quality overall, it exceeded my expectations :)

And finally, the fried king shrimp! You get four in total, and each one was really substantial — a generous portion just to look at. It came with tartar sauce for dipping.

The heads were still attached, giving it an even richer flavor, and the meat was nicely filled out too — I enjoyed every last bite. Thanks to the generous portions, I finished the meal full and satisfied :)

Free coffee zone after the meal and retro snacks at the café out front
After finishing the meal and paying, you can grab coffee to go at the coffee zone set up nearby. Getting coffee after the meal made the whole experience feel complete!

There was a nice variety on the menu too — Americano, tea, and iced tea were all free, making for a great way to cleanse the palate after the meal.

I took my coffee to go and headed to the café right out front. The café inside was spacious with plenty of seating, comfortable to sit and rest in. There were also retro snacks to help yourself to freely, adding a little extra fun. Getting coffee and a simple dessert after the meal made for a really satisfying finish!
Boksakkot Pineun Jip Daejeon Branch was satisfying from the atmosphere down to the food. From the smoky webfoot octopus stir-fry to the cheese-loaded pepperoni pizza and the hefty fried king shrimp, I left full and happy with the generous portions. If you're looking for a hearty, delicious meal for a family outing or a gathering, I'd recommend it :)
