Today I went to Jinsim Wang Donkatsu, a famous pork cutlet spot in Buldang. The weather's gotten so nice lately that it's perfect for going out and about haha, great for walks, and a great season for eating out with family and friends!!!

I hadn't been to Buldang in a while and was trying to decide where to go, and I ended up at Jinsim Wang Donkatsu Cheonan Buldang. I was craving old-style pork cutlet and noodles, and I heard there was a cutlet place in Buldang where you could have both, so I went haha.

Where is Jinsim Wang Donkatsu Cheonan Buldang, and where do you park?

Exterior of Jinsim Wang Donkatsu Cheonan Buldang

Jinsim Wang Donkatsu Cheonan Buldang is on the 1st floor of 26 Buldang34-gil, Seobuk-gu, Cheonan-si. Hours are 11:00–21:00, with a break time from 15:00 to 16:30.

Jinsim Wang Donkatsu in Buldang is open from 11am to 9pm, so it's good for both lunch and dinner, and they have high chairs too, so it's great for family meals, and the vibe is so clean!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There doesn't seem to be a separate parking lot. We drove there and luckily found an open spot nearby, so we parked on the street and went in! Public transit is also well set up, so if you're coming, a bus or walking works well too. Or it'd be great to stop by for a meal while out for a walk in the area, good good.

Inside Jinsim Wang Donkatsu: seating and the self bar

The inside of Jinsim Wang Donkatsu Cheonan Buldang had an overall clean atmosphere. The tables were spaced generously and the place was tidy and well cleaned!

Apparently Jinsim Wang Donkatsu is a place where you eat pork cutlet wrapped in lettuce. Pork cutlet + lettuce wrap, that sounds exciting. I'll have to order a cutlet later and try it. Pork cutlet lettuce wrap!

There's also a self packing station set up for customers who can't finish their cutlet and want to take it home haha. If the portion is too much to finish, you can use the self packing station to pack it up. I actually saw quite a few customers leaving with leftovers packed up haha. Packed cutlet would probably taste even better after a quick spin in the air fryer.

The self bar was clean too, of course! Lettuce, kimchi, pickled radish, broth, and soup were all set out at the self bar for the pork cutlet wraps. Once you're eating, it's nice to just grab whatever you need from the self bar.

What three of us ordered, and what it cost

There were three of us. We ordered three dishes: Jinsim King Pork Cutlet ₩10,900, Jinsim Pork Cutlet Kimchi Nabe ₩11,900, and cold jjolmyeon ₩9,500.

It didn't take long to come out. The cutlet and cold jjolmyeon arrived quickly~~~ Doesn't it look so tasty haha.

Jinsim King Pork Cutlet with the sauce on the side

We ordered the Jinsim King Pork Cutlet with the sauce on the side. There was an option to request it separately. So we drizzled it on just one side and ate it that way. Crispy pork cutlet! Can you hear the crunch haha.

I preferred this style — not too thick, thin and crispy!

Since it's a pork cutlet place meant for wraps, of course we had to try the lettuce wrap, right? Cutlet, rice, and ssamjang (seasoned soybean paste) all piled on and one bite in — oh! It was my first time trying this combo, and it worked better than I expected and was delicious. It really tastes like a proper wrap! The ssamjang paired so well, it was so good that the lettuce-wrap combo was my number one.

Jinsim Pork Cutlet Kimchi Nabe

Hot Jinsim Pork Cutlet Kimchi Nabe

The pork cutlet kimchi nabe (kimchi hot pot) comes with the cutlet placed on top of a hot kimchi nabe, and it was nice and warm. The kimchi cuts through the greasiness of the cutlet, so if you're a group, ordering one of these to share seemed like a good idea.

Cold jjolmyeon, the chewy cold noodles

The sweet and tangy cold jjolmyeon (chewy cold noodles) was delicious. There were more noodle options than I expected, and after some deliberation we went with the refreshing-looking cold jjolmyeon!

Can you see that cool, refreshing jjolmyeon broth haha. So glad we ordered the cold jjolmyeon haha. Totally satisfied.
