Daejeon hair salon brown dye on black hair and bob cut: La Bridge Doan

My hair felt way too black, so I wanted a change and visited a hair salon in Doan-dong! La Bridge Doan!!

Today I got a dye job and a cut :)

La Bridge Doan hours, closing day and parking

La Bridge Doan is open Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday from 10:00 to 20:00, and closed on Tuesdays. Parking support was available, so I drove there.

You can park in the building's basement lot, but it's shared with the building next door so it's a bit confusing..! Of the two parking entrances, take the one on the left!!!

Inside La Bridge Doan: a one-person salon with TVs on the mirrors

Since La Bridge Doan is a one-person shop, the space is on the cozy side. There's a waiting area, and about 4 chairs for treatments.

What surprised me here was that there are TVs attached to the mirrors??? For long treatments like perms or straightening, I think it would help pass the time without getting bored!

It feels like a friendly neighborhood salon. The owner in particular is super kind, so it seems like there are a lot of regulars 👍👍👍

What I asked for: brown color and a bob cut

I got a cut and dye treatment at La Bridge Doan! My hair was too black and didn't suit me, so I wanted to go a bit lighter, and since my hair had grown out, I wanted it trimmed to feel lighter too!

Before: how black my hair was

This is before. There's a slight layered cut near the front, but it wasn't really noticeable. The color was somewhere between black and natural brown. It looks a bit more tinted under the lighting haha.

Scalp treatment and 10 minutes of heat processing

Since my hair had no strength early on... she sprayed something to give the scalp nourishment! Then did about 10 minutes of heat treatment!

She used disposable dye capes, which felt more hygienic and neat!

After mixing the dye, she applied it starting from the scalp! Here, she mixes in scalp clinic and hair clinic treatments with the dye. No wonder my hair felt even better afterward.

She also said both the perm and dye products used are expensive, eco-friendly ones! That's why there was almost no smell, which I loved. The owner said it with full confidence — that dyeing actually makes hair healthier?? On top of that, the shampoo and conditioner are alkaline products good for scalp health too! This is a place you can trust :)

She gave me iced coffee during the treatment! Plus rice crackers to go with it!! Owner's got great taste. You can choose between iced tea and iced coffee. For those who can't have coffee, iced tea it is~~

Shampoo with a vibrating scalp massager

After about 20 minutes, shampoo time!

The shampoo and conditioner smelled amazing!! She carefully shampooed twice too. But what I liked best of all was — the vibrating massager!! It felt so refreshing. I wanted to buy one for myself haha.

After the shampoo, she dried my hair and moved on to the cut~ I showed her a photo of the style I wanted, and told her to publish more style books!

Instead of a blunt straight-across look, she finished the ends naturally, so it's a style that's easy to manage even when styling at home.

With the soft brown color in, my hair looked so much softer overall 🤎

I especially loved how the brown tone showed up naturally under lighting or sunlight. Trimming it into a bob and changing the color together really changed the whole vibe!

I took some photos at home too. It's a bit shorter than I expected, but I think going for something different and short like this once in a while is nice! And my hair feels so healthy!!

I could really tell the owner uses good products, confident enough to brag about it. We chatted a lot during the treatment, and she said she's skilled at cuts, perms, dyeing, and straightening all around 😃👍 The whole atmosphere was so relaxed that I could get the treatment comfortably!!
