Allegro is a newly opened restaurant in Songpa's Bangi-dong restaurant alley. I used to wonder what kind of building this was as I passed by — turns out it's a pretty building with a pretty Western restaurant inside.

Allegro, a Jamsil-area Western food spot, is a luxurious restaurant full of things to see, with live jazz performances in the evening. I visited during the day so I missed the jazz, which was a shame. Anyway — you can reserve through Catchtable or Naver Reservation, this Bangi-dong Western restaurant!

The hall and restroom before opening

I arrived earlier than opening time, so I got to fully explore the empty seats. Maybe because it's a new restaurant, it felt very clean and modern. It would probably be lovely in the evening — the lighting, the Lotte Tower view... and live jazz on top of that? A place like this in Bangi-dong??

The restroom is amazing too. It smells so nice. Each stall even has a CD player... and there's mouthwash! So luxurious. The mouthwash brand name made me laugh — cute haha.

Allegro's menu lineup

After sitting down, I started browsing the menu.

Steak and grilled octopus are the main dishes. There's also delicious-looking steamed clams, jamón melon, gambas, gnocchi, and various pastas. A wide range of salads too, plus cheese and simple sides like olives that go well with wine.

We ordered burrata salad, vongole pasta, and sous-vide pork shoulder steak.

Live jazz bar hours

The show times are Set 1 from 19:30 to 20:10, and Set 2 from 20:40 to 21:20. Admission is ₩10,000 per person on weekdays and ₩15,000 on Fridays and Saturdays — that's how it runs, apparently.

Burrata salad

Burrata salad with plump, delicious fruit. So good. The color combination is beautiful too — almost too pretty to eat.

Slicing through it — already looks delicious! The tomatoes were fully peeled too. The ingredients are clearly high quality.

Basil and yogurt-ish flavor? The sauce was delicious on its own, and the fruit was amazing too — not to mention the burrata cheese. This was the best thing I ate that day! I scraped up every last bit of sauce with my spoon.

Vongole pasta

These days it seems like vongole or aglio e olio are the best pastas around... this vongole pasta is packed with clams.

Clams are just delicious no matter how many you eat. Well-purged, sand-free little friends.

You could tell a lot of care went into the pasta noodles — the doneness felt high-level. Eating this made me even more curious about the steamed clams. Apparently you can add pasta noodles after finishing the steamed clams — isn't that killing two birds with one stone!

Sous-vide pork shoulder steak

The pork shoulder steak comes with fries. The dishes came out course-style, one after another, which made the wait feel worthwhile.

Hot fries and a seriously thick pork shoulder steak. We cut into it diligently and ate up. The pork shoulder steak was massively thick. It felt a bit salty to our taste.

Outdoor seats are for good weather

This is Allegro's outdoor seating! It was hot and rainy that day so it wasn't open, but now that the weather's turned nice, the outdoor seats have probably opened up. Outdoor drinking weather is back~~ Winter, don't come too fast, fall please stay longer!!
