Songpa beauty studio: undereye semi-permanent makeup, Mood Moon Brow

I visited Mood Moon Brow (무드문브로우) in Jamsil through the Super Members trial group for undereye semi-permanent makeup. I had only tried semi-permanent eyebrows or eyeliner before, so this was my first time getting semi-permanent undereye makeup and I was a little nervous—but after I got home, took selfies, and looked at the before-and-after photos, I was genuinely shocked.

They are the same person's eyes, but the before-and-after difference is obvious, right? It is magic that makes my eyes look so much bigger...!!! One hour of magic.

I usually spend quite a bit of time doing undereye makeup every time I put makeup on. It is honestly not easy, right?! I am so happy that I do not have to create my undereye puff anymore.

Mood Moon Brow location and exterior

Mood Moon Brow is near Jamsilsaenae Station and Sports Complex Station, with Sports Complex Station a little closer. Instead of a signboard, there is a matte acrylic nameplate on the wall, simple and polished in a way that really feels like a studio.

It said “Jamsil, Seoul Studio,” so I went in thinking this might be the flagship location. The phrase “MUUN IS ALWAYS OPEN FOR YOU” beneath the nameplate also quietly caught my eye; it felt like an invitation to drop by comfortably, and it put me at ease from the first impression.

A privately divided interior

As soon as you walk in, you see a clean interior done in white and black. Each bed is separated by curtains, so the appointment can be private without running into other clients, and natural light comes in from the window side, which was secretly great for taking photos while waiting.

The bed was neatly set with a soft white blanket and towels, so it felt comfortable the moment I lay down. They offer eyebrow design and lip coloring as well as undereye makeup +_+

Mood Moon Brow works one-to-one and is entirely reservation-only, so booking in advance is essential.

Time from consultation to finishing undereye semi-permanent makeup

First, we checked my eye shape, the position of my undereye puff, and the tone I wanted during the consultation. I was told that approval for offering undereye semi-permanent makeup at the studio had only come through recently, so I was the first Super Members visitor to try it. The director carefully explained everything from mapping the line and even drew it on my face to show how it would be done.

After the consultation, they applied numbing cream and let it absorb for about 15 minutes before we got started properly. The total time from consultation to finish was exactly 1 hour.

It stung a little during the appointment for me. But it was a tolerable level of pain, so it was not especially difficult. It hurts less than Potenza—there is no comparison!!! Potenza is the most painful thing I have had done... If you can do that, you can do anything... haha....

That said, I heard that how much pain people feel differs depending on their condition. Some people feel no pain at all and fall asleep, while others, like me, feel a slight sting.

Before-and-after eye changes from undereye semi-permanent makeup in Jamsil

The first thing I thought when I looked in the mirror right afterward was, “Oh, my eyes got bigger.” I naturally have almost no undereye puff, with just a little appearing when I smile, but adding a natural shadow line made my eyes look defined even with a mask on.

Especially in close-up photos, you can really see how the slight raised line beneath my eyes changed my overall impression to look much softer and younger.

The pigment was not overly dark; it was a natural brown tone, so it did not stand out even on my bare face without makeup. I also love that it does not look artificial when I lower my eyes.

My eyes originally had almost no undereye puff, but now that there is a line, they definitely look bigger. A little swelling after semi-permanent makeup is normal, and I was told that even if there is swelling, it would not interfere with daily life at all—but I had no swelling whatsoever even the very next day. Maybe I had the stinging instead of the swelling, haha.

My one-line review for eyes without an undereye puff

If you have always felt that your expression looked a little plain because you do not have an undereye puff, I recommend investing just 1 hour in semi-permanent undereye makeup like I did. I think you will be able to feel how much more defined your eyes become.

I was happy with how carefully they handled everything from consultation to finish, and most of all, I love that the color is natural and does not look forced.

After everything was complete, they gave me a regenerative cream along with a sheet of aftercare instructions. The cream has a rich, thick texture too, but it did not leave my hands sticky, which was personally just my style.
