This time, I had a root color appointment with Assistant Manager Yeonwoo, and I was so pleased because she was incredibly thorough from start to finish 😊 Honestly, I have had root color done plenty of times, but this was the first place that felt this meticulous ✨

Mad Hair by Seokchon Lake: Location and Parking

Mad Hair, a Jamsil hair salon, was easy to find because it is right in front of Seokchon Lake 📍 It is on the west side of the lake, right next to Jamsil Gyojip, known for its naengsam (thin-sliced frozen pork belly), so locating it was not difficult 😊 It is a nice stop before or after a walk around Seokchon Lake or a date in Jamsil, and it is conveniently accessible for color or treatment appointments too 💛

Is parking available?

There is parking in the building, which made it convenient to visit by car 🚗 Whether parking is available is quietly such an important detail when looking for a Jamsil hair salon, and Mad Hair does offer building parking 😊 Since it is near Seokchon Lake, I think visitors arriving by car can use it comfortably too 💛

Hours and reservations

Mad Hair in Seokchon is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays ⏰ On weekends, it is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. 😊 You know it is best to book ahead if you want your preferred time and designer at a salon, right? 🙌 I had root color and a treatment with Assistant Manager Yeonwoo, and was very satisfied with how carefully she handled everything 💛

The white-toned interior felt bright and tidy, and the floor-to-ceiling windows made the space look even larger ✨ I especially loved being able to see lush green trees through the windows while getting my hair done 🌿

Maybe because it is right in front of Seokchon Lake, it felt relaxed and not stuffy even though it is a city salon 😊 If you care about the interior atmosphere as much as the service when looking for a Jamsil or Seokchon hair salon, I think you would be happy with Mad Hair too 💛

Mad Hair took such good care of the drinks and snacks that I almost wondered if this was really a hair salon 😆 I had peach iced tea, and it was sweet—just perfect when your energy dips during a root-color appointment 🍑 The cookies that came with it were so delicious that I almost asked for another one, seriously 😂 Even though hair appointments can be long, having drinks and snacks made the wait much more comfortable and pleasant 💛

This was my hair right before the root color 😳 It had been about three months since my last root touch-up, so my roots had grown out quite a lot 🙈 Gray hairs had come in between my strands, and they were visible at a glance without even looking closely, which surprised me too 😂 They stood out especially around my part and the front, so I knew I could not put it off any longer 💦 As soon as I checked the condition, I booked a root-color appointment at Mad Hair, a Jamsil hair salon, and went right over 💇‍♀️ This time I saw Assistant Manager Yeonwoo, so let me show you just how neatly everything turned out ✨

We have all been to lots of salons, so we can kind of tell immediately how carefully they apply the color during a root touch-up, right? 💇‍♀️ Sometimes after a root color, I would lift up my hair and find areas underneath that had not been colored properly, which was disappointing 😅 But Mad Hair was truly different 🙌 Assistant Manager Yeonwoo checked every section of my hair so thoroughly while applying the color that I was surprised in the middle of it ✨ She applied it so carefully without missing a spot that I thought, “At this rate, those gray hairs do not stand a chance!” 😂 She paid close attention even to the inner roots that are hard to see, so after the root color my hair looked neatly refreshed all over 💛 If you are looking for a Jamsil salon that does truly careful root color, I think you will be satisfied with Mad Hair ❤️

A hair treatment and scalp massage after coloring

Once the coloring was finished, we started the hair treatment right away 💆‍♀️ Since coloring can easily damage your hair, I would recommend getting root color and a treatment together whenever possible ✨ The price difference was not huge, so I was much more satisfied getting both at once 💛 They performed the treatment while washing my hair and gave me a scalp massage too, which felt amazing 🙌 During the treatment, it did not feel like they simply applied product and called it done—they kept touching my hair and checking its condition 😊 Mad Hair was careful with the color, of course, but the treatment was just as attentive, so it really felt like I was being fully cared for 🤍

I was so satisfied with this root color that I thought I should definitely come back to Mad Hair for my next touch-up too 💇‍♀️ They finished with a light blow-dry, and my hair looked so neat and I felt so good that it seemed a shame to go straight home 😊
