Now that autumn is here, I found myself wanting a neat fresh hair color..!

After going bright for the summer, I wanted to reset my style with a slightly more toned-down color for autumn, so I went to Oterre Namyeong, a one-person hair salon in Yongsan!

Oterre Namyeong is close to Namyeong Station and easy to find, so getting there was no trouble! As you approach, look up at the building entrance for the wooden Oterre Namyeong sign, then head straight on up~!

And there it was, Oterre Namyeong. The exterior had such a hip feel that I was curious about the interior too—and it was so beautifully designed, antique yet tidy!

A spacious salon focused on one reserved guest

I arrived right at my reservation time, and because it is a one-person salon, it was not crowded at all. I loved that the appointment was entirely focused on the booked guest! They also welcomed me so kindly from the moment I entered, which made me feel even better.

The interior of Oterre Namyeong was quite spacious! The furniture was arranged with plenty of room rather than packed in tightly, so it never felt stuffy. I was comfortable from the moment I arrived until I left after my color appointment.

Once you come in, they guide you to your seat like this. It felt so different from the interiors I usually see at hair salons—the visuals were really unique! I bet lots of people take photos here..!

They asked what I would like to drink, and since water is my favorite, I asked for that. It arrived on this neat, pretty tray.

Before coloring, I was definitely overdue for a root touch-up! My hair was permed, but the color was so uneven that it looked really messyㅠㅠ I urgently needed color, and Oterre Namyeong had great coloring reviews, so I could visit with confidence.

Then we got started with the color! I had booked with designer Lee Uinam that day, and I was really satisfied. When I said I wanted to tone it down, he seriously thought it through with me and said a toned-down shade would suit my current hair well! He also said my original hair had a slightly matte-brown feel, and that it would be nice to preserve that color impression, so we went ahead with that right away.

My original hair was not especially dark, so I had been debating whether to keep that original color or go darker. Designer Lee Uinam examined it from every angle and consulted so carefully that we decided to preserve the original color—and I was sooo satisfied with the result,,>< I mean, how did he just take a quick look and make the color connect this perfectly? I heard he has tons of experience, and I could really tell the difference!

He carefully put ear caps on me before starting, so the whole process was comfortable without a single annoying part. Since we were preserving my original color, he applied the color away from my scalp to keep it intact, and it was blended so smoothly without any visible layers or breaks! And he is funny too, haha.

He even immediately picked up on my hair-drying habit..! hehe. I had actually been wondering why only certain parts of my hair kept drying bent, but Uinam caught it right away and explained it to me. I have been drying it that way ever since, and it is so good!!! The best.
