Ganppa Beer is super trending in Gwangalli these days! There are two locations, Gwangan and Gwangan 2, and I went to the Gwangan 2 branch right in front of Gwangalli Beach! Just walk down from Gwangan Station Exit 3 toward the beach's main entrance! It was already buzzing by the time I got there... so many foreign customers too!!! haha it's already exciting lol

Retro interior and the open kitchen

Ganppa Beer Gwangalli 2 has a retro yet hip vibe, which is probably why so many foreign customers come here. It's an open kitchen, so you can watch the cooking process right in front of you.

The vibe of the place was really retro and hip! I think that's part of why so many foreigners visit too haha. From the moment you walk in, there's this exciting, fluttery feeling! I was already having fun the second I stepped inside lol

There were so many people and the music was upbeat, so I found myself getting more excited too!! A bar really needs this kind of lively atmosphere haha. It was loud and buzzing but felt like everyone was enjoying it together, perfect for a good drink. I went with my husband, and chatting away with him over good food and drinks made it even more fun haha.

There were a lot of fun and interesting details, but what I liked most was that it's an open kitchen! You can watch the cooking and food-making process right in front of you, which is fun to watch, and more than that, seeing the food being made gives you more confidence that it's hygienic haha. The taste was great, but I was even more satisfied that they cared about this kind of detail too!

What does the Sapporo cream draft beer taste like?

Ganppa Beer Gwangalli 2's signature Sapporo draft beer has such a soft cream that it just slides down smoothly. It felt just like drinking nama biru in Japan.

Maybe because it's a cream draft, it's really soft and goes down so smoothly! It just slides right in and you keep drinking without noticing lol. I think this is the first time I've had such a soft draft beer in Korea — it kind of felt like drinking nama biru in Japan! Genuinely soft and delicious. Highly recommend it if you like smooth beer!

Busan Shake Shake Oden Tempura for 4,900 won

The side dish we got with our beer, Busan Shake Shake Oden Tempura, was ₩4,900. The oden (fish cake) is deep-fried until crispy and chewy, with real umami flavor!!!! It's the perfect match for beer, and it's so cheap, why wouldn't you order it? haha you absolutely have to try it!
