Jung-ang-dong café in Yeosu for takeaway macaron boxes: Jwasuyeong
In short
Jwasuyeong Baguette Burger is a café in Jung-ang-dong, Yeosu, specialising in baguette burgers and haepungssuk (sea-breeze mugwort) desserts, a 2-minute walk from Yi Sun-sin Square. I ordered the baguette burger + ice cream set for 9,500 won and the Jwasuyeong chubby macaron 5-piece box for 18,000 won as takeout, ate the Geomundo haepungssuk ice cream on the spot, and opened the macarons and burger at home. The cold-pack wrapping and the detailed storage and reheating notes from Jwasuyeong Baguette Burger made this an easy snack to carry on the last day of a Yeosu trip.

There are so many famous snacks to try when you visit Yeosu, right? I wanted something light for a snack, but common options felt underwhelming, and I worried that being near the tourist spots would mean pricier, blander food 😭 That's when I always recommend the Yeosu dessert spot I visit every single time I'm in town!! Here's my takeout story of the original baguette burger, a mugwort ice cream set, and the Jwasuyeong tteong-karong (chubby macarons).
Where is Jwasuyeong Baguette Burger, and where do you park?
Jwasuyeong Baguette Burger is a café at 491 Jung-ang-dong, Yeosu, just a 2-minute walk from Yi Sun-sin Square. It's open daily from 9:30 AM to 8:00 PM (closes early if ingredients run out). The shop itself is small so there's no dedicated parking lot, but they say you can use the Jinnamgwan public parking lot right across the street!!

If you're taking the bus, get off at 'Jinnamgwan' and you're basically there. Super convenient access.
Jwasuyeong tteong-karong, baguette burger, mugwort ice cream — all three of the must-eat Yeosu snacks are gathered in one place. Open since 2016, this is the ⭐original baguette burger in Yeosu⭐, holding its ground in the same neighborhood for nearly a decade.
The interior is spacious and comfortable so it's great for sitting down to eat too haha. There's a baby chair set up in one corner, so families traveling with kids can also visit comfortably.

Menu and prices at Jwasuyeong Baguette Burger
The menu board and prices at Jwasuyeong Baguette Burger are also laid out neatly.
- Jwasuyeong Baguette Burger: ₩6,000
- Geomundo Haepungssuk Ice Cream: ₩4,000
- Jwasuyeong Tteong-karong (5-piece set): ₩18,000
- Baguette burger + ice cream set: ₩9,500
- Baguette burger + ade set: ₩11,500
I ordered the baguette burger + ice cream set (₩9,500) together with the Jwasuyeong tteong-karong (₩18,000) for takeout.

They don't cut the baguette burger since the filling can spill out! And for dine-in, remember the etiquette of one menu item per person 😉

How to eat the baguette burger at its best
- Eat it right after you get it for maximum crispiness
- If eating the next day, keep it in a cool spot or refrigerate (recommended max 1 day)
- To warm it up, use a dry (no oil) pan on low heat, or an air fryer at 180°C for 3–4 minutes!
- ⚠️ Never use a microwave — it will turn soggy
If you write a Naver receipt review, they give you a free drink, so everyone should try it!!

Tteong-karong (chubby macarons) and ice cream made with Geomundo haepungssuk (sea-breeze mugwort), a Yeosu specialty, plus the original Yeosu baguette burger ♥️♥️ It's made in collaboration with a HACCP-certified facility and the dessert specialist Myeongpum Dessert, apparently!!

There's even a packaging sample on display — everything comes in a neat cold pack, so it felt reassuring whether it was for a gift or for traveling with haha.

What comes in the Jwasuyeong takeout package
Ta-da 🖤 Here's the full takeout order finally laid out. The tteong-karong in a cold pack, the baguette burger in a plastic bag, and the Geomundo haepungssuk ice cream — such a well put-together lineup.

How the Geomundo sea-breeze mugwort ice cream tastes
I dug into the Geomundo haepungssuk ice cream (₩4,000) as soon as I got it. Made with 100% Geomundo haepungssuk, a Yeosu specialty, the mugwort aroma was really strong and the texture was super thick and dense.

The mugwort flavor wasn't too bitter or overpowering, so it's a taste everyone can enjoy regardless of age or gender. They stick a piece of baguette on top of the ice cream, and dipping it in was a delicious combo too!! 💚

The 18,000-won chubby macaron 5-piece box: flavours and keeping
After finishing the ice cream and getting home, time to open up the tteong-karong and baguette burger I took out,,

Opening the cold pack, there was an ice pack along with a detailed tteong-karong info sheet tucked in. The moment I opened the box, the visuals were amazing,,🥹 Five colorful tteong-karong were inside!!
How to store the chubby macarons at home
- Refrigerate within 2–3 days / freeze within 1 month
- After freezing, thaw at room temperature for 10–15 minutes and eat once the filling has softened!
- Eating it cold makes the cream chewy and refreshing (never store at room temperature)
The lineup was: strawberry milk / haepungssuk real / haepungssuk latte / haepungssuk choco chip / cookies & cream (3 mugwort flavors + 2 popular flavors).

The three haepungssuk flavors — real, latte, and choco chip — made with Yeosu's mugwort specialty, had this subtle mugwort flavor blended with sweetness that was so delicious.

The strawberry milk and cookies & cream flavors were super tasty too. The filling was really thick and plump, so it was chewy the moment you bit in — a true macaron specialist!! Brew a cup of Americano and pair it with the tteong-karong — coffee goes perfectly with it ☕️

What does the signature Jwasuyeong baguette burger taste like?
And now, the moment we've been waiting for — the signature Jwasuyeong Baguette Burger (₩6,000).

It's a bread where the inside of the baguette is hollowed out and generously stuffed with meat, vegetables, and a secret sauce.

The outside was crispy and crunchy, and the inside blended so well with the special sauce that biting into the meat felt so satisfying haha. Thanks to the salty and slightly spicy-sweet sauce, there was zero greasiness, so I devoured it in no time!!

If you're visiting Yeosu and looking for a dessert that everyone will love — great value, great taste, and even a bit of history — make sure to stop by Jwasuyeong Baguette Burger & Jwasuyeong Tteong-karong near Yi Sun-sin Square.
