Walking along Yeosu's blue sea, I eventually found myself near Isunsin Square. This neighborhood is famous for so much good food that even deciding where to go is a happy dilemma. But the first place that caught my eye was a spot called Avocado Yeosu.

The moment I saw the sandwich board out front, memories of a fun trip to Vietnam came flooding back, and I decided right then that today's Yeosu beer takeout had to be banh mi, no question. It was so nice to find a place among the cafés near Isunsin Square in Yeosu that combined this kind of exotic mood with fresh ingredients, so I walked in without hesitation.

Avocado Yeosu's signature is the avocado smoothie, but what I picked that day were two avocado banh mi. One I ordered loaded with cilantro, the other plain, without it.

As soon as I stepped inside, there was signage showing that the avocado smoothie is the café's signature menu item. I really wanted to try that creamy avocado flavor, but since I visited in the evening with the sun already setting... haha
