Gangneung beach café with an outdoor no-kids zone at night: Baegya

Hi, this is Sukong Saedaeg. This time I want to introduce Baegya Coffee, an ocean-view café we visited in Gangneung, haha. Baegya Coffee, a large bakery café in Gangneung, is located near Sageunjin Beach! Gangneung is such a hot vacation spot, so having a café of this scale here really feels like a great option for visitors!!

Baegya Coffee at night: night views and parking

Baegya Coffee is at 607 Haean-ro in Gangneung and is open 09:00–21:00. Visiting this Gangneung ocean-view café at night, the surrounding night view was really gorgeous! The parking lot is also very well set up, so even if you visit during the day, you can park in the spacious lot and spend time at this Gyeongpodae café!

This is the front view of the Gangneung ocean-view café, haha. Baegya Coffee is definitely a stunning place even at night! If you're looking for a large bakery café in Gangneung, this is worth a visit.

This Gyeongpodae café is a three-story building with a rooftop on the fourth floor, so it's truly a large café. As you can see, there's a spacious parking lot both in front and behind the building, making it really convenient to visit!

What's on the menu and in the bakery case at Baegya Coffee

Here's the menu board at this Gangneung ocean-view café! There were many kinds of drinks — coffee, lattes, ice cream, ades, teas — so you can order according to your taste!

This café near Sageunjin Beach in Gangneung is an ocean-view café that also seems quite famous for its bread! It's definitely a large Gangneung bakery, but since we visited late in the day, there wasn't much bread left.

This Gyeongpodae café also had jams and bottled drinks, haha.

I photographed the bread and cakes that were still left, haha. If we hadn't come after a meal, I definitely would have ordered some cake to try!

There were quite a lot of breads that looked delicious too!

Floor by floor, from the first floor to the fourth-floor rooftop

The first-floor space of this large Gangneung bakery is also very nicely decorated! There are several tables on the first floor, so it's a good option if the second and third floors are hard to use!

Why the outdoor areas are a no-kids zone

Baegya Coffee runs a no-kids zone only for the outdoor space, and I thought it could be a bit dangerous for kids to go out there. I felt it would be fine as long as you spend your time indoors!

The second floor and its terrace

This is the second-floor space! The interior atmosphere is really nice, and since it's truly a large café, there's nothing blocking the view and it felt wonderfully open! The gorgeous ocean view almost felt like a bonus given how well the space itself was designed!

I went out to the second-floor terrace, haha. The terrace definitely has its own distinct feel! The atmosphere was really nice, so it seems like a good place for couples on a date to visit! The sea and waves seen from the terrace were truly stunning! Even just looking out at the main road felt healing!

The third floor and the fourth-floor rooftop

We went up to the third-floor space, and the third floor was also very well arranged! I felt like there would be quite a lot of customers during weekend lunchtime!

This is the fourth-floor rooftop space, haha. The space is well arranged, and the distant sea with its waves was really great! It still feels so refreshing even now! I filmed a video of the sea view from the fourth-floor rooftop, haha.

Ordering corn ice cream and Sangha Farm ice cream

We ordered corn ice cream (₩6,500), Sangha Farm ice cream (₩4,200), and an Americano (₩5,500)!

The corn ice cream really tasted like it was packed full of actual corn! It was so much better than other corn ice creams I've tried elsewhere. It's good enough to be called a signature menu item, no question!

I bought the Sangha Farm ice cream for the kids, haha. The Sangha Farm ice cream was also quite smooth and tasty! It was mild and not too sweet, so I thought it would suit everyone, young and old!

Is Baegya Coffee worth a night visit?

Baegya Coffee, the café near Sageunjin Beach we visited this time, is a fairly large café where you can also enjoy delicious bakery items! The atmosphere is great for a date, and I think it would also be good to visit as a family! If you're visiting Gangneung and looking for a large café or ocean-view café, I recommend giving this a try!
