Namyangju pizza restaurant with cilantro pizza: Pibing Paldang Branch

I found a pizza of a lifetime. My friend and I went out to Namyangju and stumbled onto this Paldang restaurant, Pibing Paldang Branch, and the pizza there had me hooked. Both the pizza and the pasta were so good I fell head over heels ㅠ.ㅠ Here's the full review.

How to get to Pibing Paldang Branch, and opening hours

The address is 159 Paldang-ro, Wabu-eup, Namyangju-si — a great spot for a Paldang date course. It's open from noon to 11pm (10pm on Sundays), so it works for both lunch and dinner. Closed every Monday and Tuesday, so keep that in mind before you go :)

There's plenty of parking right next to the building. After parking, walk around to the other side of the building and you'll find the entrance leading upstairs. I climbed up feeling all giddy, haha.

Pibing Paldang Branch menu and what comes in the weekday couple set

Once you open the door, there's a kiosk where you can browse the menu and order. Since it was my first visit, I had the happy problem of not knowing what to pick. The owner walked us through the menu too, which made choosing easier, haha.

Since my friend and I came out on a weekday, we were able to get the weekday couple set! (About ₩40,000 for a pizza, a pasta, and a drink.) We picked the Como Estas pizza with half cilantro and the truffle parmigiano cream pasta — neither of which I'd ever had anywhere else, so I was super excited, hehe.

Second-floor seating and the self-serve bar at Pibing Paldang Branch

After ordering, we headed up one more floor. It's a spacious, comfortable area with big tables and chairs, perfect for a relaxed meal. (There were two other tables of guests, so I sneakily took photos to keep them out of frame, haha.) The finished food gets brought over to your table, so you just wait and receive it. Having it delivered right to us was so convenient — love it ㅠㅠ!

While waiting, there's plenty to grab from the self-serve bar. Fork and knife, parmesan cheese and Tabasco sauce, and two kinds of pickles — take as much as you like, hehe. Clean and well-organized, it was easy to use!

After a bit of a wait, our food arrived! The weather was perfect for the outdoor seating these days, so we went up one more floor to enjoy the rooftop :)

This isn't just a Paldang restaurant with great pizza and pasta — the atmosphere is amazing too. I came with a friend, but the view instantly explains why it's recommended as a date spot, haha. We went right at sunset and the mood was so lovely, haha.

I set up the weekday set just so on the table. The visuals alone were a pass ^.^

How was the truffle parmigiano cream pasta?

First up is the truffle parmigiano cream pasta. It came out as a new menu item alongside the spicy garlic basil pasta, and the noodles looked different from the picture on the menu board, but honestly I liked this version even more!!!

The moment it arrived, the truffle aroma just hit ㅠㅠ — anyone who loves truffle will be obsessed with this smell and taste. The cream sauce soaked perfectly into the noodles, the noodles were cooked just right, and every ingredient scattered through it was so good... Seeing how good this truffle parmigiano cream pasta was, I bet the spicy garlic basil pasta is amazing too, so I've decided I have to come back. (Serious face.)

Como Estas cilantro pizza: ordering cilantro on half

This is the Como Estas pizza, labeled a signature menu item. (Honestly, almost every pizza here is unusual enough to be called a signature — no matter what you order.) You can even get it 100% loaded with cilantro, but since my friend doesn't eat cilantro, we ordered it half cilantro.

You can see how fresh the cilantro is! I love cilantro so much I'll basically eat it by the handful, so I was smitten just looking at how much they piled on ㅠ. This was actually my first-ever cilantro pizza in my life, and I only just now learned how perfectly the combination works, ugh.

Inside, the pizza is packed with meat, and the cilantro's aroma and flavor spread across the top — I think I said 'delicious' about 200 times, haha. If anyone near me is looking for a Paldang restaurant with great pizza, I won't hesitate to recommend Pibing Paldang Branch, hehe.

You can't have a meal like this without soda, right? The weekday set includes a drink, so pairing it with a cold soda made it perfect ^.^

Can you bring a dog to Pibing Paldang Branch?

Watching the Han River and sunset light while enjoying a delicious dinner made this Paldang restaurant, Pibing Paldang Branch, absolutely perfect! Once we arrived, I noticed dogs are welcome, and peeking at other reviews, there even seem to be seats where dogs can sit. If you're bringing a medium or large dog, it's worth contacting the restaurant directly before your visit, so keep that in mind :)
