Bar table for two at a Yeongdeungpo izakaya near Times Square: Nani
In short
Nani Byeolgwan Yeongdeungpo Branch is an izakaya in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul, 573m from Exit 5 of Yeongdeungpo Station and a 2-minute walk from Times Square. Sitting at the bar table in front of the open kitchen with her younger sister, the writer ordered pork and bean sprout stir-fry, spicy seafood yaki udon and Asahi draft beer: the stir-fry was well seasoned with a generous pile of bean sprouts, and the yaki udon tasted even better for its shallow pool of broth. For a good-looking izakaya with tasty drinking food near Times Square, Nani Byeolgwan Yeongdeungpo Branch is worth the walk.

With so many year-end and new-year get-togethers, today I'm introducing a great-vibe bar in Yeongdeungpo — the izakaya Nani Byeolgwan (나니별관)✨

Where is Nani Byeolgwan Yeongdeungpo Branch? Two minutes from Times Square
The Yeongdeungpo izakaya Nani Byeolgwan is 573m from Exit 5 of Yeongdeungpo Station. It's just a 2-minute walk from Times Square, so it's easy to find :)

Seating at Nani Byeolgwan: open-kitchen bar table to the second floor
Walking into the Yeongdeungpo izakaya Nani Byeolgwan, the first thing you see is the open-kitchen-style bar table where you can watch the cooking happen. And going further inside,

you find this stylish, great-vibe space. There are 2-person and 4-person tables ready in the inner area, so it's good for a date with your partner or a hangout with friends.

And if you go up the stairs to the 2nd floor, there are more tables ready — if you want a brighter atmosphere, I'd recommend heading upstairs!

We had a spot open at the inner side of the bar table, so we decided to sit there.

How to see the Nani Byeolgwan menu: scan the QR code
Nani Byeolgwan doesn't have a printed menu — just scan the Nani Byeolgwan QR code posted in the store and you can see the whole menu :)

The menu at Yeongdeungpo izakaya Nani Byeolgwan ranges from salmon sashimi, butter garlic king prawns, clam sake stew (add pasta noodles for ₩5,000 — first order only), beef tataki, pork and bean sprout stir-fry, perilla oil pasta, lemon cream shrimp, grilled pollack roe, takoyaki, seafood tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), fried oysters, Nagasaki seafood nabe (hot pot), odeng-tang (fish cake soup), half-dried squid, cream cheese and crackers with scallion, shin ramyeon risotto, and much more — plus a wide drink lineup from soju to premium soju, Asahi draft beer, bottled beer, and highballs.

Before the food arrived, they set out plates and chopsticks,

and gave us cabbage salad as the complimentary side. Since it was just my sister and me, we ordered the pork and bean sprout stir-fry, spicy seafood yaki udon, and an Asahi draft beer too haha.

Pork and bean sprout stir-fry with Asahi draft beer
The pork and bean sprout stir-fry came out first. I love pork and bean sprout stir-fry that's loaded with tons and tons of bean sprouts, and this was exactly my kind of style — the seasoning was just right and the flavor was amazing🤤 With so many bean sprouts in it, you can worry less about calories and just dig in👍🏻

But now, spend those saved calories on beer,, I asked for the beer to come out together with the food when ordering, so I could take a bite of the pork and bean sprout stir-fry and then enjoy the beer right after. The foam ratio was so good too,,,

Spicy seafood yaki udon, better with its shallow broth
Next up was the spicy seafood yaki udon. The seafood yaki udon at Yeongdeungpo izakaya Nani Byeolgwan had clams and squid in it, so it was even tastier than we expected ♥
Made right there in the open kitchen, so it came out piping hot!!
It was loaded with cabbage and scallions, which gave it even more depth, and the sauce soaked right into the udon noodles — so rich,,, Personally, if a yaki udon has good seasoning but not much broth, I just feel like it's meh, you know? lol. But the yaki udon at Yeongdeungpo izakaya Nani Byeolgwan had a really juicy broth, which made it even more delicious💗

We finished it all in a flash lol. Everything was so good! For round one, we filled our starving stomachs at Yeongdeungpo izakaya Nani Byeolgwan and had a simple drink,

Round two at the bar next door
Right next to Nani Byeolgwan there's a bar that's open every day but is literally named 'Weekend Solo Drinking Bar' — I'd recommend having another drink there! (Weekend Solo Drinking Bar has no food menu, only whiskey, cocktails, highballs, and beer.)
If you're near Yeongdeungpo Times Square looking for a good-vibe izakaya with tasty snacks, I strongly recommend checking out Nani Byeolgwan Yeongdeungpo Branch🙌🏻
