Nine Theater from outside and the walk to the box office

Ta-da, arrived in front of Nine Theater! You just head down to the basement. There was a poster out front, so it was easy to spot at a glance.

You pick up your ticket and reach the theater by going down to B1, and the posters you see on the way down already got me hyped before I even saw the show.

True to the name Suspicious PT Shop, promotional posters and signage evoking a gym setting were plastered everywhere, building curiosity about what kind of show this would be even before it started.

Suspicious PT Shop ticket prices and discounts

Ticket prices were special seats (Rows A-B) ₩99,000 and general seats (Rows C-F) ₩69,000. That's the basic rundown.

There were various discounts too — couple discount, repeat-viewing discount, welfare discount, group discount — so make sure to check and save where you can.

Inside Nine Theater: waiting area and photo zone

I heard the show before Suspicious PT Shop was called Suspicious Hair Salon, and sure enough there were hair-salon-related props on display! I never got to see Suspicious Hair Salon, which was a bit of a shame — but no worries, the story makes complete sense without having seen it.

Once inside, there was a separate waiting area set up for people to wait for the show.

There was also a corner with water, tea, and coffee available? It seemed like a good idea to arrive a bit early, grab a seat, and wait with a cup of coffee.

Next to where you pick up your ticket there was also a prize-draw box, so I slipped an entry in.

There was also a photo zone set up, which was fun for passing the time and taking pictures before the show started!

The theater is a small venue, so the actors and audience are quite close together! But the seats were cushioned like a movie theater, so I could watch the 80-minute show comfortably.

What is Suspicious PT Shop about?

Sunghee, a Muscle Mania figure grand prix champion, and Sujin, a skilled trainer, open a new PT shop. Meanwhile, Hyukjin and Junsu, beginner members who've only ever done home workouts, come to the PT shop to learn how to train properly, and as the two men meet the two women trainers, unexpected mishaps and hilarious incidents unfold.

How explicit does Suspicious PT Shop get?

At first, with a title like Suspicious PT Shop, I wondered just how 'suspicious' this place could be... but having actually watched it, the show truly lives up to the name — it's wildly bold. I knew it was an adult play going in, and having seen other 19+ plays in Hyehwa I was curious how it would compare, but this was record-level content. It's not just a few adult jokes scattered here and there — the performances are pretty daring and honestly surprising, so it's good to know that going in! There's no way I could watch this with family, that's for sure!

That said, it's not wall-to-wall intense scenes! Comic situations built around the PT shop setting and the cast's deadpan comic timing come in between, so there was plenty to laugh at too!

Final verdict: which couples should book Suspicious PT Shop?

It's a clearly different vibe from the usual Daehak-ro plays, so I'd recommend it if you want a different kind of date!! That said, since it's rated 19+ and quite intense, I'd recommend it for long-term couples specifically. If you're after something bolder and more daring than the average romance or comedy play, this should suit you well. If you're looking for a different kind of date course in Hyehwa, I highly recommend Suspicious PT Shop.
