Jangan-dong Public Parking Lot is across from the parking lot of the NongHyup Suwon Bukmun Branch. I parked at Hwahongmun Public Parking Lot before visiting, and while writing this post, I found out that they support two hours of parking at nearby public lots on weekdays 🥲 The eligible lots are Hwahongmun Public Parking Lot and Jangan-dong Public Parking Lot. Both are within a five-minute walk, so they were conveniently close to the restaurant.

Since they are public parking lots, the basic rates are fairly affordable too, so parking did not feel like a major burden.

• Jangan-dong Public Parking Lot: First 60 minutes free; then ₩500 per 10 minutes; daily maximum ₩10,000

A spacious interior with seating for gatherings

The interior was also very spacious. Along with four-person tables, there were six-person tables, so it looked like a great place for family gatherings or group meals.

I arrived around 3 p.m., just before the break, so I could enjoy it at a leisurely pace. On weekends or during meal times, though, I recommend reserving ahead if you are coming with a group, for a date, or on a blind date.

Overall, the calm atmosphere and generous space between tables made it well suited to all kinds of get-togethers—friends, family meals, dates, and blind dates. There were high chairs too, so it would also be nice to visit with children 😊

Menu, wine, and corkage information

The menu was quite varied, so I think it would be fun to return several times and try a different dish each time. I visited at lunch and did not get to taste them, but they also serve dishes that pair well with wine after 5 p.m.

There was a wide selection of wine and the prices did not seem overly intimidating, so it looked nice for ordering a bottle with a group or simply enjoying a glass with your meal. Corkage is free for up to one bottle, which makes it even more appealing for wine lovers.

From fresh ricotta salad to steak

The first dish I ordered was the fresh ricotta salad. I expected it to be a light salad, but the portion was much more generous than I thought. The vegetables were really fresh, and the ricotta was nutty and delicious.

Honestly, salads can feel pretty similar wherever you go. Even so, the combination of balsamic glaze, ricotta cheese, and fresh vegetables was so good that I enjoyed every last bite—one of the best salads I have had in a while.

The truffle bulgogi risotto I most want to recommend

Next came the truffle bulgogi risotto. This is the dish I most want to recommend. It was practically the risotto of my life.

To be honest, I tend to order risotto when I want Western food but have not eaten rice all day—just to maintain my Korean credentials 😂 But this risotto was completely different. Delicious cream risotto is topped with a house cream sauce, bulgogi (Korean marinated beef), and perilla leaves, and the combination worked so beautifully.

The cream risotto alone was already delicious, but eating it with the tangy yet rich house cream sauce, bulgogi, and fragrant perilla leaves gave it a completely different charm. If you visit Jangan-dong Public Parking Lot, this is a dish I really recommend trying at least once.

Chuck flap steak with an unforgettable butter sauce

Next was the chuck flap steak. What more is there to say? It is meat, so it already gets 100 points. The doneness was especially even 🤤 and it was tender.

It came with three sauces: Maldon salt, Maison mustard, and butter sauce. The butter sauce in particular was such a treat. It was a flavor I had never tried before, and it went so well with the chuck flap. With mushrooms and asparagus on the side, I could enjoy it deliciously right through to the end without getting tired of it.

I was not especially hungry when we arrived, so I wondered if we had ordered too much. But nope—two women cleared every last bit of it.

I was happy with the visit even though I came with my mom, and the atmosphere would also suit a date or blind date perfectly. If you want to enjoy both delicious food and a lovely atmosphere, I recommend stopping by 😊
