Consultation and choosing the fabric: Grade A domestic wool

JJ Republic runs by appointment only. Mom, Dad, and I showed up on time, and the staff member asked us one by one about the wedding date, budget, and other details we needed to sort out.

The jaw-dropping ₩590,000-for-two-suits deal only applies to grooms-to-be, so for us there were options A, B, C, D, E left. A–C are domestic fabric, D–E are imported. A, B, C differ slightly in wool content, apparently😳 My dad coolly declared 'A' right away, so we only looked at the A fabric book🤭

Only my dad would be wearing it, but there were three opinions — mine, mom's, and dad's. And the staff member skillfully mediated between us all ^_^ㅎㅎ If it weren't for her, we'd probably still be going back and forth on colors. We picked a safe navy for the jacket, then wine for the jacket lining as a stylish touch. Actually it was her suggestion, but I ended up loving it~~

She recommended matching the buttons to the lining color with wine, and since I liked her pick, I just stood there grinning happily😎 If I'd suggested it myself, my dad probably would've said no... but since it came from her as a professional recommendation, he was easily convinced. Once everything was decided, the measuring began! She carefully measured the waist, hips, and leg length, plus shoulders and chest, and even checked the jacket length✅ Dad... the fit already looks good. Good feeling already~

I'd originally only planned to get a custom suit for my own dad, and figured my father-in-law would rent one or buy off the rack instead. But fitting at JJ Republic's custom suit service is optional! If he doesn't have to make the trip twice, of course I should get him a custom suit too. I booked his appointment on the spot ^ ^

Living in Ilsan but going all the way to Cheongdam to pay a fortune for the groom's outfit.... I regret it now. At least I'm glad the father-of-the-groom suit could be done with good value.
