Today I want to introduce a taco restaurant I'd recommend as a date course in Gojan-dong, Ansan — "The Taco Booth" haha

We visited on a weekend while out on a date in Ansan, kind of as a lunch stop 😊

This Ansan taco restaurant is apparently famous enough to have been featured on TV multiple times! They also run lunch specials, so it's worth noting if you're looking for lunch options in Ansan ☺️

It's such a well-known taco restaurant in Gojan-dong, Ansan that it's even been selected as an excellent franchise store 👍 They say it's run as a model business thanks to its great quality and service haha

Inside The Taco Booth Ansan Gojan Branch: is it good for solo diners?

Inside, there's a good mix of seating from 4-tops down to 1-2 person tables, so it looked really solo-dining friendly! The great thing about tacos is that they're delicious and filling when eaten in a group, but also work perfectly well for eating alone 🤗 Easy to take out too, or eat solo inside the restaurant!

At the self-service corner you could freely grab small plates, utensils, water, and disposable gloves. Tacos have a way of getting on your hands or dripping on your clothes, but there was even a sink available so you could wash up right away if a disaster(?) happened! Honestly I prefer washing with water over wet wipes, so I liked that there was a sink haha

✔️ Taco platter ₩43,800 — since it was just the two of us, we ordered the taco platter! They also have a lot of drink options, so it looked like a good spot to have a drink with friends in the evening too 👍 We originally wanted to order the fajitas, but the portion is 3-4 servings, so we switched to the platter haha

This Ansan taco restaurant was running a Naver receipt review event~~😊 If you participate you get a free soft drink, so keep that in mind if you're having lunch there haha

After ordering, we sat there admiring the interior — such a real "eating tacos abroad" vibe 😘

What comes in the 43,800 won taco platter

And here comes the taco platter!!! 🤍 First, the biggest one right in the middle is the ✔️ birria taco. This is apparently The Taco Booth's signature menu item, famous enough to have been on TV 🥰

Then in order, gambas taco, picadillo taco, carne asada taco, and pollo taco. The taco platter was made up of 2 pieces of the main birria taco plus 4 side tacos 😊

It came with the restaurant's special sauce, guacamole, and tomato ketchup 😋 It was just the right amount for two people, so I felt good about how we ordered haha. We were hungry so we started devouring it right away 😆

Put on the disposable gloves from the self-service corner and dig in ☺️

How the signature birria taco tastes

The most famous signature birria taco!!! 😍 It comes with a special sauce, and drizzling it on top of the taco is basically heaven... The outside was crispy yet moist, and the harmony of cheese and meat inside was such a great taste and texture 😍 The Taco Booth's birria taco apparently uses meat made from three kinds of meat simmered richly for 8 hours! The combination of the generous cheese and sauce piled on top of the meat was amazing in this birria taco... My partner who ate it with me raved about how delicious it was too haha

Underneath the birria taco was a layer of salty, delicious fries 😋 These were also amazing, so I ended up devouring them too...

There were so many ingredients piled on top of the tacos that they kept spilling everywhere haha. But that generous filling gave such a satisfying, mouth-filling feeling 🤗

Personally, the birria taco was the tastiest, and among the side tacos, gambas taco and pollo taco were the ones most to my taste

The Taco Booth's taco platter had great value for money and a solid lineup 😘 It's the right portion for two people to share and the quality was excellent, so it's a menu I'd really recommend 👍 If you've been looking for a unique date restaurant in Ansan, a lunch spot in Gojan-dong, Ansan, or a place in Ansan where you can eat alone, I recommend this quality Ansan taco restaurant, "The Taco Booth" ☺️
