Gojan-dong poke restaurant in Ansan: pollo salad bowl, The Taco Booth

In short

The Taco Booth Ansan Gojan Branch is a Mexican taco and poke restaurant on Gwangdeokseo-ro in Gojan-dong, Ansan, Gyeonggi. Wanting something light after a workout, the writer ordered the pollo salad bowl and the all-meat burrito, and the crunchy chickpeas and deep meaty flavor made them wish they had gone for the jumbo size. With plenty of one-person portions, The Taco Booth Ansan Gojan Branch works just as well for solo dining as for a date in Gojan-dong.

A taste of Mexico in Gojan-dong, Ansan. I really love tacos, and not only are there few dedicated taco places, there are none as good as this one. I liked this place even before it showed up on Baek Jong-won's Alley Restaurant^^

Where is The Taco Booth Ansan Gojan Branch in Gojan-dong?

There's no Taco Booth in my neighborhood, but hey, I can just come here~ The public parking lot in front of the store is spacious and cheap too (2 hours free for EVs), so there's no burden at all. That's me..^^"

Pollo salad bowl and all-meat burrito: a light post-workout meal

The signature dish here is actually the birria tacos. The rich cheese and juicy meat seasoning, the product of the master's efforts, is outstanding. But since I'd just worked out, I ordered something lighter, more like a meal plan.

This is the pollo salad bowl. The chicken is seasoned slightly spicy (though still totally manageable for spice wimps), and you can choose your salad sauce.

Tomato, onion, green beans, chickpeas (crunchy — doesn't taste beany at all, more like a chip), plus guacamole sauce, all sitting on a bed of fresh greens.

Also added a burrito. Hehe — a soft, chewy tortilla packed with all kinds of meat, with a hint of that distinctive fresh spice flavor that makes the deep meaty taste even better: the all-meat burrito. It's a burrito, so there's rice inside.

The fork is so easy to eat with. I really love this fork. It's satisfying if you have a big appetite — you can just scoop away. The chickpeas that turn up occasionally have this hollow, crisp bite that's just so crunchy and good.

Healthy ingredients you don't feel guilty eating a lot of. I want more... should've gotten the jumbo. There are two sizes available.

Can you eat alone here? Inside The Taco Booth and how to order

The Taco Booth Ansan Gojan Branch has several tables inside — 4-person and 2-person seating. Lots of solo diners, some people just come to pick up takeout, and plenty of people pair lunch with a beer. It feels appropriately exotic for a taco place. Like becoming a free spirit for a while~~

There's a self-serve bar on one side of the store with forks, spoons, disposable plates, napkins, and disposable gloves, plus a water dispenser and a place to wash your hands.

Grab as much as you need~ They sell beer too. The nachos here are seriously delicious — the sauce is so good you end up licking your fingers.

Menu board with nachos and fajitas

What is on the menu at The Taco Booth Ansan Gojan Branch?

The fajitas are really good — the all-meat fajita comes with the master's five kinds of meat. There's also a taco platter with an assortment of different tacos.

Menu board with taco platter and fajitas
  • Poke (rice or salad)
  • Burrito (rice) / salad roll
  • Quesadilla

There's a version of each type. Since these are single-serving menu items, they're great for a light lunch.

There are also plenty of side dishes that are great to add when you're drinking alone or eating with a friend. There's a lunch discount menu as well as a variety of beers.

The chipotle sai taco is new, and they say you get a free drink if you do a review event♡

Getting there from Gojan Station and where to park

There's a public parking lot in front of the store. I usually go to the one in front of Daerim Plaza since it's so spacious. Even if not there, public parking lots are easy to find block by block.

Storefront on Gwangdeokseo-ro and the surrounding street

It's located near the intersection by the Suwon District Prosecutors' Office Ansan Branch, in front of Danwon Maeul Apartments. If you're unsure, checking the walking route on Kakao Map or T Map makes it easier to find.
